“We love going to Stevie Lews every year we visit from Alaska. They know how to bring on the smoke when it comes to smoking meat! The sides are like homemade family picnic style. Comfort food at its best in a casual and rustic indoor setting. Always feels like you’re at a family get together, eating the most delicious foods. I’m impressed at the smart business side of keeping the menu perfectly to the point of great smoked meat and sides until they run out. “Service is outstanding at Whiskey Palm and the atmosphere is so cool! Bourbon selection is the best! They have a great craft drink menu with your standard mix drinks being available also, plus they offer beer, seltzers, etc. A must visit while in Rockport, TX. And once you go, you’ll be back!”

“OMG! What a gem!! The hubs and I dropped in for some fresh seafood and was not disappointed at all. We did some Black Friday shopping first and then desperately needed a cold beer and a snacky snack. The beer was ice cold, the oysters, ice cold and very fresh! But the real treat was the boil. Spicy lemon seasoning on boiled shrimp, crab clusters, sausage, potatoes and corn. We shared and it was the perfect amount. Oh....the service was spot on!!”

“First all the options for bowls and burritos is incredible. Everything is fresh and well seasoned. Ordered 2 bowls today for the first time and couldn’t believe how big they were. Enough for 2 meals, but unfortunately I at the whole thing, it was that good. My boss enjoyed her as well. The lady that took my order over the phone was very polite and didn’t rush me. My husband picked up the order and brought it to me at work, he said the place was cute inside and very clean. Can’t wait to order again.”

“We stopped here Monday 11/3/2025 breakfast at a local restaurant - as we just arrived to Rockport area night before as we'll be here all winter - the Food was OMG so good...Eggs Benedict w/ hashbrowns was so scrumptious... Hubby ordered the French toast....- this will definitely be our go to local place while we're here - portions are large and price is really affordable - staff makes everyone feel welcome.”

“I have tried frappes all over from here to St. Louis and I can and will say that this is the best one I have had. It is smooth and creamy, not bitter or sharp. Even after I had her add shots of espresso to it. The prices are also very reasonable, I can't say enough good things about this shop. I will definitely be back. The shop owner is also very sweet and helpful.”

“Fabulous ice cream!!! If you are in Rockport, this place is a must see. Absolutely adorable with huge selection of candies and chocolates. Bring the kids, bring a date. I just recommend you try it. I had butter pecan ice cream. It had almost equal parts pecans and ice cream.”

It was busy and that’s when good restaurants shine and second rate businesses fail. I’m on the road a lot and look for these kind of treasures. I might baffle the wall sound with products made just for that. But that’s a small thing.”

“July 4, 2025 at 1:28 pm. Arrived at the “Bar B Que Shack,” 701 Palmetto Avenue, Fulton, Texas 78358. We were seated promptly and our friendly waitress took our order promptly (As usual). Ordered the BBQ 2 Meat Plate (Ribs and Lean Brisket) and 2 Sides that my wife and I shared at $17.85 plus tax for this great plate. Like I said, every time we go we always get seated promptly and served promptly! Dependable place to get great food from Burgers, Fish and BBQ! Highly recommend! GO There!

My qualifications as an Expert and Experienced Food and Service Critic; I have over 65 years of Management Experience. I have a College Degree with a BS in Management and have been trained in two Culinary Schools, to include on the job training at other venues. I’ve managed full service as well as fast food restaurants and have had my own successful Catering business. As a Culinary Trainer, I have trained personnel on how to provide superb cuisine and sales and customer service. At the age of 78, I am now retired and enjoy being on the other side of the Apron.”

“Food was very good. I guarantee you will not go away hungry. The gumbo is served in a 2qt bowl and is outstanding. It is not as pricey as it seems for the amount of food you get. Staff was professional. Get there early or you will be waiting outside to get in as it has limited sitting space but again the food is well worth the wait. CASH ONLY! Plan on the 18% gratuity to be automatically. added to the ticket. One downside is you cannot make a reservation for larger parties.”

“Excellent breakfast at a great price. Bacon, eggs, home fries, salsa, tortillas PLUS coffee for only $12. Very comfortable booth and polite wait staff. I went to a breakfast place at the other end of this shopping center last week and it cost more with less food, plus the coffee was twice the price.”

“One thing you can bank on for sure at PanJo’s pizza no matter what you order. It’s always good. The price is comparable to any other place you go not counting pizza but pretty much anywhere else. It is definitely the go to for pizza for sure. Hamburgers for sure. Well, I guess I could say for sure for anything else.”

“My friends and I always eat at Charlotte Plummers when we gather at Port A. That’s about 30-40 years! The salad bar is great, and I never have heard anyone complain about anything.. This time I had the fish tacos, and they were wonderful. Didn’t need the salad bar as the tacos were enough!”
