Food was very good. I guarantee you will not go away hungry. The gumbo is served in a 2qt bowl and is outstanding. It is not as pricey as it seems for the amount of food you get. Staff was professional. Get there early or you will be waiting outside to get in as it has limited sitting space but again the food is well worth the wait. CASH ONLY! Plan on the 18% gratuity to be automatically. added to the ticket. One downside is you cannot make a reservation for larger parties.
THE BEST !! On a weekend trip to Rockport we wanted some good shrimp. We ate fried shrimp at Paradise Key, Charlotte Plummers, and Pier 99. They were not even close to Pier 77, in every category we could judge them by. Service was excellent. Price was comparable to other restaurants we tried. Pier 77 in Fulton offers a great scene and awesome service with fresh seafood. The portion sizes are generous, making it perfect for sharing or taking home leftovers. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff is friendly and attentive. Although they only accept cash, the quality of the food and the pleasant atmosphere make it worthwhile. The shrimp plate and fish fry are highly recommended, with huge portions that won't disappoint. The fried Combo fish and shrimp and the special blackened flounder with three grilled shrimp are also loved by customers. Many agree that everything tasted delicious, and the plates are so large it's best to share. The shrimp boil with potatoes and corn is a hit, with shrimp that's more than enough for two people. They offer an ATM on-site for cash needs, and while they don’t serve adult beverages, BYOB is allowed. Come hungry because the plates are HUGE! They certainly give you your money's worth here.
