“Was in town for late anniversary. Wanted a nice meal. This place delivered. Service was excellent steaks were perfect. Atmosphere was nice and quiet, not many places left like this most are fast food types. See ya next time we in Rockport when we need a nice quiet meal. The drinks are the bomb also.“
“Wife and I were visiting Rockport and we decided to try Wild Prawn. We ordered the Stuffed Redfish and Fried Mahi Mahi. Both dishes came out ~35 min later and we were impressed by the quality and taste. For dessert we shared the deconstructed key lime pie, which was excellent. The owner, Chris, was friendly and chatted with us. Overall we enjoyed the food and will definitely come back the next time we are in Rockport.“
“10/5. Best seafood I have ever had and I've had plenty. Friendly staff, great chefs. We eat here more than once every time we vacation in the area. Scallops over risotto is great. My husband loves the seafood Mac & Cheese. Great ambiance.“
“Menu is great! Not just your average burger and fries! I included the specials menu in photos. We had the 'Big Tree Burger', the 'Goose Island' burger and for myself the 'Smokey Chedar Bacon Burger'. All were great. Especially great was the appetiser (yes we had this on top of burgers!) 'Tachos' tatertots done like nachos (photo included). We devoured those!Local and awesome. Place has been around for 25 or 30 years and survived hurricanes.Kid-friendliness: They have 2 pool tables and dont mind the kids gaving a game or two. Lots to look at. They also regularly have locally sponsored raffles for kids item (kids rifles, etc).“
“Cash only. ATM located right by the door if needed. BYOB.Food was good. A little on the spendy side but what restaurant isn’t nowadays.Portions are big so bring your appetite.Shrimp are very good as an appetizer. The steaks are tender and juicy but fatty also.Parking can be limited at times so plan appropriately.“
“If you don't mind messy crawfish and crab, this is a good place. It's loaded with spice outside the seafood so if you are expecting no-mess Louisiana style boiled crawfish, keep movin. It's very pricey, so be prepared! Nice beer selection too. Ask about the chocolate covered crawfish heads ?Kid-friendliness: It's kid friendly. You can draw on the table that's lined with paper. They have kid meal options too“
“One of the best restaurants in town! We always receive great service, very friendly staff, and the food is always fresh and delicious. Highly reccomend! We love their spicy mandarin wings, the Rooster sandwich, and kimchi fries the best. Soooo good!“
“WOW! Absolutely amazing boudin. The best boudin I have had in 60 years! I have eaten every boudin imaginable and all over LA. From some places that are supposed to be the best in the world. But they are no comparison to what Brian makes.Oyster Po-Boy was delicious. Oysters were perfectly fried and not overdone. Shrimp basket was excellent.I made it a point to walk back over and give my compliments - and pick up another link of Boudin!I will see you again later this week! Keep up the great work.“
“With the sculpture out front and it being an art gallery we didn't expect to see paintings around the walls in the restaurant. Maybe we missed the gallery section. The food however was fantastic and this is a pokestop for any pokemon go players!“
“Damn good food and friendly service! I had the Shrimp po' Boy and hush puppies.Shrimp Po boy was loaded with everything. Shrimp was fresh and fried and good oil. You know the oil is good if the fried shrimp comes out a real light tan color... Hush Puppies weren't huge but big enough and they were tasty! I would definitely hit this food truck up again, its right next to Lulu's! Prices were fair and the portion was generous.“
“Great atmosphere and the best fajitas ever and the owner Mr. Pena is the best restaurant owner you could ever meet. I couldn’t give this restaurant enough stars! Thank you Mr. Peña and your servers for the great experience my family and myself had.“
“Great food! Bring a big appetite. Wild and very busy on a Friday night ! Our server Frankie Benavides was terrific!! Prices comparable to other big name restaurants on the water. We ate outside and the views were great- and the area fishermen were coming in to the boat ramp, totally enjoyed the experience“
“Popped in for lunch with a group of 7. The wait time wasn't bad. We had to separate between a table and booth for the kids in our group. No worries, totally understandable as the place isn't very large, very much a while in the wall, mom and pop type of place. The staff was incredibly friendly and so very attentive. I believe Isai was our waiter? Amazing! Didn't even have to order the side of ranch for my fries or ask for extra tartar sauce, it's like he knew. I left feeling like a local and not someone vacationing for the weekend. The seafood platter I ordered was absolutely delicious. Perfect crunch, flavor, the oysters tasted fresh. The okra..I cannot express how amazing the okra was with just words. It was perfectly seasoned and crunchy. No slime. My only issue is that it wasn't breaded with cornmeal but I can definitely overlook that. The chicken tenders and onion rings my child ordered, she loved. My husband's French toast breakfast, also delicious. For what we received, I definitely expected to pay more. You definitely get more than what you pay for in quality and quantity. This will definitely be a restaurant I return to on future visits.“
“I am excited to give this review. It's a little different than my others. When I first moved to the area, I worked at this place for a fast minute(left only because I wasn't fond of a person I worked with).. after that being said, this place is AMAZING! . Everything is dated, labeled and fresh. Closed and/or open didn't change anything, it was always clean. The foods are consistent and even the owner is nice. He actually cared/cares about the consistency of the food and doesn't cut corners on anything kitchen and food related. This is definitely a 5 star when it comes to the food. I never dined in, so I won't pretend to know or review on service, but the servers I met were very polite. This place had/has been around a long time and even the locals have nothing but good to say about this restaurant.“
“Food, service, atmosphere - 10 out of freaking 10. I write a food column for my local paper, grabbed a last min reservation for Gabriela's as I swung into town for date night. We live on a ranch about 20 min out so this is our "destination dinner" for date night. Everything was so well thought out from the glassware, atmosphere, specials to the arrangement of the dishes. I don't think you can go wrong (unless you have an underdeveloped palette where true and intense flavor leave you overwhelmed) Love the choice of cab for wine by the glass. Loved the glass even more. Can't wait to come back!“
