“I saw Cathy at my job cuz she was picking some stuff up. I asked her if she would put two gumbo aside. When I got there after work she wasn't there but the other lady was very nice. She offered to let me taste it but I declined. I'm having it now for dinner and I love it. I love the spices and the right amount of kick to it. The gumbo is shrimp and crab and it's delicious. I would definitely get this again.“

“I met old Mrs. Hillman when I was a little girl at the restaurant near San Leon Texas back in the 60's. She would always make passes around the tables to say hi and see if everything was good. My mother would always ask for her recipe for the shrimp and shredded cabbage salad. She would never give it out. LOL Best seafood in Texas or anywhere else! Lots of great memories and food.“

“This is a great authentic mexican restaurant. There is a large varied menu. Serving all traditional tex-mex items. They offer many lunch specials daily. They also serve pancakes. The service is absolutely fantastic. Very friendly staff and responsive to the customer. Atmosphere is pleasant, and all the local, whether plant workers or the countless people who enjoy fishing in Matagorda Bay, all love this place. One of the vert best dining locations in Port Lavaca.“

“Well, when they charge $8.99 for a plate of mini tacos and you get 2 sodas and your total bill is $18.99, makes me question prices, math, and who makes drink prices at $4.50 each. That is interesting how business employees make up prices that scream don't eat here again...“

“We love coming out to the marina. Whether we come to have a few drinks or if we camp at their rv spots we always have a good time! The food is always excellent and the staff ALWAYS go above and beyond.“
