“Visited for Valentine's Day and had the special Chicken Fried Ribeye with 2 sides, a drink of choice and a special dessert. It was an amazing meal at a very reasonable price. One of the few recent 1st visits to a restaurant that my wife and I agreed immediately upon the first few bites that we'll definitely be returning to have a meal again. Great atmosphere and seats more than it may seem from outside. It's great to have an option in Historic Downtown Port Lavaca that makes a date night, or any night, worth the visit. Great place!”

“We had heard that their burgers were very good so we decided to try them. We ordered 2 bacon cheeseburgers and onion rings. Everything was fantastic. The burgers tasted like a homemade burger. So tasty and juicy. The onion rings were wonderful too. We will definitely be going back!”

“I saw Cathy at my job cuz she was picking some stuff up. I asked her if she would put two gumbo aside. When I got there after work she wasn't there but the other lady was very nice. She offered to let me taste it but I declined. I'm having it now for dinner and I love it. I love the spices and the right amount of kick to it. The gumbo is shrimp and crab and it's delicious. I would definitely get this again.”

“I don't usually leave reviews, but I wanted to because this Subway really impressed me. From the moment I walked in, everyone was friendly and made me feel welcome. The employees were patient, had great attitudes, and made my sandwich exactly how I wanted it. Everything was fresh, and you could tell they cared about doing a good job.
The manager was also very kind and checked to make sure everything was going smoothly. It's nice to see a team that works well together and actually cares about their customers. Great food, great service, and an overall great experience. I'll definitely be coming back and would recommend this Subway to anyone looking for a good meal and friendly service.”

“We had a really good experience at Asian Wok! It’s a small place, but everything was clean and the service was friendly, attentive, and fast. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. We’ll definitely be coming back!”

“I ordered the shredded chicken enchiladas with white cheese sauce. It came with rice and beans. I ask for some green sauce, because I like a little picante. The food came out hot and was very tasty.The portions was good size. It was not oily or greasy like other places I eaten I cleaned up the plate.”

“We were visiting PL for a few days and stopped by this coffee shop, I had a seriously great (iced) coconut mocha, and two of my kids had a strawberry banana smoothie, kids sized. While the owner was giving us great information on the town and things to do nearby, the twins enjoyed playing with the puppy. My baby and I were comfortable sitting on the couch and chatting, this was a very memorable part of our trip, and it was nice to have a true conversation! The owners went out of their way to welcome us in their shop. My only wish is that the shop is open later, so we could have stopped by again! If I remember correctly, it is only the two owners working there. Support local!! They are working overtime and provide an amazing service.”

“On a fishing getaway we stopped here to eat. Omg, it was delicious 😋! The salsa was tasty, our waitress (Maribel) was amazing and suggested items to us. The food came out hot and was yummy. The atmosphere was casual and the amount of people who came in to pickup to go orders was astonishing. Not only did we eat lunch there, we went back for dinner on the same day. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. We most definitely will be going back.”

“Drive through. Excellent chicken flautas, huevos rancheros are good rolled up in the included tortillas. Also had the corn with mayonnaise and hot sauce. I really enjoy this corn dish. The drinks are really good. We had the strawberry and the melon. Taste is faithful to the fruit and is mixed with ice. Lots better than carbonated beverages. Also have had excellent tamales which are white corn massa with no included meat. Surprisingly good with a sweet taste. Service at the drive through is quick and good for a good pickup meal.”

“Well, when they charge $8.99 for a plate of mini tacos and you get 2 sodas and your total bill is $18.99, makes me question prices, math, and who makes drink prices at $4.50 each. That is interesting how business employees make up prices that scream don't eat here again...”

“Food was good. We arrived about 45 minutes from closing time so we were one of the only tables in the dining room but it took a long time to get our food and service was just OK. They were probably busy with the closing duties. Margarita was terrible. Would go back though and would recommend.”

“Authentic Mexican Breakfast! We ordered menudo, very good! Huevos Rancheros, left nothing on my plate, a steak taco to try… so flavorful- like if it came from a Mexican cookout, and a pancake which was the finishing touch of sweetness after all that deliciousness. Did not need a to-go box!

“I order shrimp breakfast tacos during Lent they were the best shrimp and egg and cheese breakfast tacos I've ever had.homemade tortillas wonderful fresh shrimp not farm-raised shrimp from Sysco Everyone was very friendly and the green sauce is off the charts. Also very clean restaurant.”

“To be fair the atmosphere was my vehicle so of course I had great music and company. Food was decent - service was a bit on the slow side but I find that becoming the norm sadly. (They did apologize for the slow response in taking my order, though I wasn't upset.)”
