“Very good place...excellent service...the waiter attentive at all times to what we needed...very delicious food...in the United States Mexican food is difficult to match...but here it is much better. .at least they don't put chedar cheese on everything...I give it a 100 rating and of course I will return“
“I love this place. Everything I've tried has been excellent. Large portions as well. Got the California burrito this trip. Wonderful and enough left for lunch tomorrow! The staff here is friendly and attentive. The decor is great. Highly recommend!“
“It's the first time I come and Everything Very Rich I ordered some fried eggswith chilaquiles and a piece of meat and beansEverything is delicious. See you next time.I didn't take a photo because I didn't leave anything behind?“
“Ditch the pricy and fancy chains – this local joint is all about good food, friendly faces, and prices that won't break the bank.I can personally vouch for the chili relleno or carne guisado.Things to make sure you try no matter what you order: the red and green sauces & fresh tortillas (corn & flour).“
“Was very nice. Friendly waitress. There was a difference I asked for, but was not fixed that way. She came back and asked me about it. Since it was not correct, she brought me another plate with the corrections made. I was not charged. I would go “
“Not being overly impressed with any Mexican food places in Rockport, not bad but nothing great, drove the 10 miles to this place. Glad I did, it was a little better. Chips were fresh and hot, salsa was ok but could use a little more umph. They have a range of authentic style to Tex-Mex. Today's special was fideo, something you don't see at very many places. However, I opted for the Mexican plate (definitely Tex-Mex) keeping it simple. Beef, crispy taco was the highlight of the plate, beef enchiladas were good, rice a little above average, refried beans were just ok. Prices are very reasonable, always get you with the drink, $3+ for tea. Bill was just over $13. Service was good. I'll definitely go back again and try some of their authentic fare.“
“Food is hot and decent. The chips and salsa were really good! The food for 3 was 30. About what I'd expect. The "Mexican sodas" (whatever. Coke and Juarritos)were 9 and with tax and tip we arrived at 57. That's more than I was expecting. But overall it was ok food. There is Cabrito on the menu.“
“The location and atmosphere may be off putting but do not let that deter you from giving this place a try. The service, food and price can't be beat. Portions are generous and conducive to sharing. The migas mexicanno are "THE BEST" around.“
“This was our first time to visit this restaurant. Food is great! Refried beans and rice were kind of bland, but at least they didn't burn the tongue out of my wife's mouth. We have eaten at over three dozen Mexican restaurants in the San Antonio area and this one scores right up there with the best of them. One exceptional note for this restaurant: They have the best flour tortillas of any of the nearly 100 Mexican restaurants I've eaten in around the world. This restaurant is going to be one of our mainstays when we don't feel like cooking at home. One minor note of disappointment: We were not given chips and salsa when we were seated. Not a failure as many restaurants do not seem to know what chips are really great.“
“We went to Jalapeno's for the first time today. I ordered their Chicken Quesadillas .The chicken was shredded and tasted marvelous! I especially loved their pico and guacamole! I loved their service, Hispanic music, and their whole look with their booths and tables. We would definitely return for another meal here!“
“The salsa and chips were very good. I had the Ceaser salad with grilled shrimp - it was excellent. We had the combo fajitas which we both really enjoyed. The one issue I did not appreciate is that they only accepted cash - most people prefer using a credit card. The owner should just raise prices by 3% to cover the card fees.“
