It’s clear the team is putting in serious effort to turn things around and make a strong impression. If I had one small piece of feedback, it would be to consider adding a few more servers or lightening the table load a bit — our server did an amazing job, but was definitely stretched thin. “This for me is the absolute best Tex-Mex restaurant I have ever had. The beans are incredible and they have homemade tortillas. I've eaten Mexican, Tex-Mex all over Texas, California, New Mexico & other states. Even in cities. Besides my grandmother's cooking, this is the BEST. When I say I want Mexican food, this is exactly what I mean. I have to DoorDash every day cause I work out of town. And this is the best I've had. Can't give enough praise! It's delicious!!!!“

“1983 Mexi Cafe breakfast/brunch was really good and I’d definitely recommend it. We had the barbacoa sunrise and French toast both were delicious and really hit the spot. The mazapán iced coffee was sweet and strong in the best way, and the vanilla iced coffee was simple but still good.
Overall the food was great service was awesome, and the vibe/atmosphere was really nice. We’ll definitely be going back before leaving town to try the horchata coffee and more of the food.“
