“As an out of towner, going to recommended restaurants is always a mixed bag. However, this was a wonderful suggestion. This restaurant is not part of the mainstream tourist venue. It is on a side of town that is part industrial and residential. That being said the bells and whistles were off but the food was definitely on. Three of us ordered the fried oysters and I assure you that I have never had oysters as delicious as these. They were simply fried but they were very meaty and the consistency was all throughout the batter. They melted in your mouth and at the end of it all, it left us all wishing we'd ordered two dinners. Not because the amount wasn't generous, because it most definitely was, but it was because they were prepared to please the customer. The service was great as we were immediately met by hostesses who were very patient with us as we reviewed the menu. I'll be sure to visit this place again when I return to the Corpus area. We had our usual appetizer, the Chorizo Queso dip. Always the absolute best. “I’m sure the food is delicious every day of the week but if you were not there on March 19, 2024 you truly missed out! There was not a crumb left behind! I had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy and black eyed peas! Cornbread too which was also amazing. The fried chicken looked so good I put the honey and butter on it instead of the cornbread 10/10!! Everything was a 10/10! From the music to the staff. It was me and my best friends first time visiting corpus and we DEFINITELY will be back! Hands down best southern food restaurant I’ve been to. Amber was AMAZING! “I went to Joe’s Crab Shack two days in a row. I sat at the bar again and Montana was my bartender. She was very friendly and attentive. She made sure I had everything I needed before I got my food. The manager also came by to check on me. I love the whole vibe there. I love the volume of the music and the music they play.The food was also good. The oysters were very small but we wrote that off too seasonality because it was April. Both the other dishes were good. We also took a look at the upcoming live music lineup and were surprised at the talent they were bringing in. “I live in california and ordered through grubhub for my sons in copus christi. Youngest(12) said 4.5 oldest (13) said 4 . They said steak was a little chewy but they got it medium rare so I don't know what they expected. And they said the shrimp could've been cleaned a little better. I ordered the family pack 3 sirloin with grilled shrimp Mac and cheese salad and mashed potatoes. Good feed back from the side dishes. I personally will stop by this steakhouse and leave my own review when I go pick up my sons for the summer.“
