“BIG LESSON TO BE LEARNED HERE.Dined in at Outback tonight, which should have been our first choice. Thinking we’d enjoy dinner at Texas Flame, oh boy! WERE WE WRONG!No one should be treated terribly the way we were @ Texas Flame! ?Says a lot about the management. Talk about losing your appetite!!Had to leave there after being attended by the worst of the worst hostess( little red haired girl). We decided to leave, but was stopped by the owners sister. Trying to apologize for the hostess bad attitude in a very apologetic way. We decided to speak to the owner, and when he was told we wanted to share a word with him, he pretended we didn’t exist!? We stood there being ignored.???We ended up leaving, and happily had dinner at ?The Outback?. HUGE DIFFERENCE !! From the moment we walked in! They even apologized after they heard the news of what we just went thru. Oh yes!! getting the word out.Destiny? was our server @ Outback and we fell in love with her. Kind, respectful, and a true team player. Thank you Destiny, remember our conversation dear. We will be Outback again.♥️? Hope to see you again? great prices, beautiful atmosphere!“
“I wanted a steak so my colleagues and I chose Prime for dinner. The overall atmosphere is a nice little vibe. When I arrived, I sat at the bar and had a drink while I waited on my colleagues. When one of them arrived, we were shown to a seat in the very back, darkest area of the restaurant, and I immediately asked for a different seat location. In that moment, I felt that either it was intentional or an extreme lack of awareness! Two black women (the only people of color in the entire restaurant) walk in your restaurant to be seated, the restaurant isn't full or really busy, and you chose to seat them in the very back, near the kitchen, in the dark.......total lack of awareness!I did ask for a different seat, but I shouldn't have to. Honestly, that kind of set the tone for my experience. Now Eric, our server, was excellent. He was well versed on the menu and provided great service, so I was able to relax a little. For dinner, we had the Southwest Cream Corn Dip, Chicken de Champagne, Tuscan Pappardelle, Bone-In Ribeye, Lobster Pasta & Cheese, and Au gratin Potatoes.I would have preferred the dip to be warm, but it was tasty. I didn't really little the texture of the lobster pasta nor the cheese flavor. The potatoes were really good and my colleagues enjoyed their meals. The steak. Eric did tell me to consider having it prepared one temperature greater than I normally would, but I get medium well and didn't want my steak cooked well, so I stuck with MW. When it arrived, it actually looked medium and it was a little undercooked for my taste but I ate it because I don't like to send food back to the kitchen.Overall, we did have a good time at dinner. We mentioned the seating concern to Eric, and he did apologize and try to assure us that it wasn't intentional.Again, I think we knew there was no ill intent, it just "looked" and felt uncomfortable. Just be more aware with future customers.Vegetarian options: They have an entire Vegan menu separate from the regular menu.“
“The Ol’ Steakhouse is like an old friend, reliable, consistent, and great to visit.Plenty of seating in large space, even during lunch rush. Lucy was fast, friendly and efficient. Food was home style, flavorful (not like a mass produced microwave factory) and large portions. Extensive menu but the lunch special is a screaming good deal, hot, fresh and fast.Parking: Can get crowded at lunch time“
“We were seated quickly on a Friday night at 7 pm. Robin was attentive and answered any questions we had regarding the menu. The bread as always was incredible and replaced quickly. So I got the Salmon plate with no rice which gave me 3 sides. The Caesar salad and the Mac n Cheese were incredible. My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his steak, baked potato and fried okra.“
“Had a little girls day out and decided to stop here for dinner. Couldn’t have made a better choice! Kyle was so sweet and was amazing with our 8 year old sister! The food was amazing! And Brianna, who wasn’t even our server, came by to check on us and was so friendly! The restaurant was packed, yet the customer service was absolutely amazing! I never leave reviews online but the wait staff here deserves it! ❤️Kid-friendliness: Amazing with Kids!“
“Service was awesome. Food was hit & miss - I loved the spinach and artichoke appetizer, but I didn’t enjoy my pecan crusted chicken salad - the menu promised mixed greens etc and when I got it, it was romaine so not exactly what I’d expect. The pecan crusted chicken was very greasy and burnt. My guy got a sirloin and it was very delicious and well cooked.Atmosphere is all right, what I didn’t like was they have giant TVs that advertise pictures of the meals that I found kind of tacky but could just be my preference.“
“The food was good. The burger was the best part the bacon and cheese was on point and I like the buns. The side salad was very fresh and I enjoyed it. I disliked the girl who took my order, she did not take the order correctly, but when I received my order the guy corrected it and he was apologetic.“
“What a gem on the beach of Corpus Christi! Had such a great meal that I came back the next day. But the Old Fashions were the star. 5 or 6 different amazing recipes. I had to try a few. They did not disappoint. And my ribeye was cooked perfectly with terrific flavor. I will be back!“
“Nice place, good food! The queso with brisket was delicious, the cowboy tacos too and the patty melt was good just a bit salty. Overall everything was great, really enjoyed the chimichurri in the cowboy tacos! And their complimentary bread is so good I don’t know what they put in it!“
“Ate here for dinner & had the best service from Emily Morgan. She was attentive, sweet, quick, kept drinks filled, & very friendly...even carried on a conversation with my son, which always makes us both very happy. This is the second time we've had Emily take care of us & we'll always ask for her section. She's the best!“
“House Margaritas were not available due to their machine was out order.Order Loco coco & perfect Margarita were good. Deep fried pickles were very hor which is a plus. Love their fresh rolls, filet migon was perfect rare & my husband's was to rare and cook just a little longer.Top it off, their cheesecake was phenomenal.“
“This was our first time here and it was definitely a different experience in Corpus Christi. Our waiter Chris was very informative on the menu. He asked if it was our first time which I thought was extremely helpful so he was able to give us some great choices. Great waiter! The fact that they take thier time in bringing you the appetizer and then wait to bring you your soup or salad after your done with your appetizer was the best. Most restaurants bombard you with appetizers, then your salad and you food and your tables covered and you have no room. This was definitely a delightful dinner we finished our appetizer he boxed it up and then brought our salads once we were done then brought our entrees. Perfect timing. The food was excellent. The drinks were great he even went into details on all they had to offer including telling us about the bar in the back with live music. We will definitely be returning. Whether it’s date night or just feeling like some nice ambiance atmospheric time this is the place!“
“This place has a real charm to it. The smell of the mesquite broiler, the nicely stocked bar, the old school TV antenna and neon sign on the building, and the generations of family that have worked the kitchen. I enjoy every time I visit especially the draft beer prices for happy hour Monday-Thursday.“
“This was an amazing experience. The wait staff was friendly and very helpful. My husband and I ordered the Cajun fries as an appetizer, and we went on military Monday, so we got chips and salsa free. I ordered a Virgin Pina Colada (size was a little small, but not a game changer). I had the Crab Stuffed Flounder, and my honey had the Ahi Tuna Tacos. We also got the Chocolate Tres Leches cake. I was going to take a photo, but we got it to-go. Ate it, then remember I should have taken a photo.“
