“Today I had the twice baked potato with butter, sour cream, chives, brisket bark all mixed in with the potato and topped with brisket. It was absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD amazing!!! Jerry’s BBQ is the best in town. If you haven’t tried it, you’re missing out!! I have had everything on the menu over the years and am never disappointed. Thank you Jerry for giving us such great food, a very clean environment to eat your food, and such great music to listen to as we eat. Everything is on point.“
“Ordered the 3 meat plate with potato salad. Waitress was attentive. Was surprised that there wasn't very much people. Food was brought out extremely quick. Brisket was delicious and so were the ribs. The pork was good just had spots that were kind of hard. Stole a piece of sausage from my wife's plate and it was ok. Potato salad was really good too. The thing that caught my attention the most was the bbq sauce. I'm not much of a sauce person and nothing on my plate needed it but it was really good finished my whole gravy cup.“
“WOW!! Anyone hungry for good food should stop by Garret’s BBQ. Brisket was so tender, so juicy, so full of flavor, NOT so peppery flavored like some places and just delicious! The bbq sauce only enhanced the great flavor we were already enjoying but you really don’t even need the sauce to enjoy this bbq. My husband suggested we try this new place on Holly Road and I’m so glad we did. We’ll definitely be back to try the ribs ?“

“Texas twinkie search and this came up. Very satisfied with the food here. Jalapeño bombers, Texas twinkies, torpedoes, whatever you want to call them were to my liking. Brisket was very soft, had their own unique flavor of seasoning. Overall great experience.“
“My wife and I used to live in Texas, but moved away back in 2012. So we've spend the last 12 years building this place up in our minds as a great restaurant for BBQ. We finally made it back and it did not disappoint. We had the pork ribs and brisket. The food was good with or without the sauces provided on the tables. Plus the sides were delicious. I don't really even care for creamed corn, but I the one that Rudy's serves. The atmosphere is easy going and relaxed. The price isn't bad for what you're getting by any means. Our little kids loved it as well.“

Robin was attentive and answered any questions we had regarding the menu.The bread as always was incredible and replaced quickly.So I got the Salmon plate with no rice which gave me 3 sides. The Caesar salad and the Mac n Cheese were incredible.My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his steak, baked potato and fried okra.“

The salads are fresh with homemade dressing. The meals are perfectly prepared to taste. The only reason for a four star is that I give out five star reviews only for exceptional, exceptional places.“
“We had our class reunion at Hogemeyer’s BBQ and it was perfect! The atmosphere was fun and casual. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. David was extremely helpful and accommodating. We had lots of space for our group of 70. I would highly recommend Hogemeyers for a group event. Our event went very smoothly and was so easy.“

“My mom and I loved loved the coleslaw and with apple just wow! We have never tried it like that and it was a lovely touch. Pork ribs were big and tender, brisket absolutely delicious and tender. I'm not too crazy about the potato salad it tasted too much of mustard and finally the peach cobbler just lovely. We will definitely order again.“

“Absolutely delicious! The best meal I've eaten in a while. I don't have my mom in my life anymore and it was so beautiful to have a comfort meal made for me. It's so hard to find delicious comfort food. Got mine to go and couldn’t get to it until much later. The Thursday special reheated beautifully and I still have half the meal waiting for me and I cannot wait to finish it.“
“We had a catering for a baby shower, and we ordered 2 trays of brisket, a tray of chicken and sausage with bean and rice. They also provide barbecue sauce, pickles, and onions with sweet corn bread. The food and the delivery were excellent and on time. You could smell the smoke flavor when they took the meat out of the carriers. The meat was tender and tasty, and we had leftovers. When I needed a box for my meal and rolls Sarah offered to bring me extra rolls to take home with me. One critique...the brownie dessert should be heated before serving...it was good and all but being warm would have made it delectable! ?“
“After being treated like crap at Black Diamond Oyster, we decided to come to a favorite place in Corpus. Shame on us for even attempting something else! We both got the fried oysters and they were absolutely fantastic. The hushpuppies were spot on, and the waitress even brought us some extras and did not charge us. The beer is ice cold, and the service is fantastic!Although a little dated and cheesy regarding the decor, we still absolutely love it! It gives the place character.“
