Finally tried The Crazy Cajun and it was worth it! It was Sat evening about 6:30 and we were seated fast. Robert, our waiter was amazing! Super nice and gave us a breakdown of the menu. Loved the food being poured onto the table! Everything was prepared perfectly. MAJOR like: guy behind us playing music on phone loud and Robert asked him to turn it down! Thanks Robert for reminding people about manners!

Restaurant was busy when we were seated. Our server was prompt with our drinks and food. Ordered their Hungry Cajun boil. Lots of food and a fair price. Food is delicious. They even sell their house blend Cajun spice.

We were seated, and sat… and sat… and sat for 10 minutes without any staff acknowledging us. We watched people who came in after us get drinks and place orders. We got up and left and the hostess just said “sorry” without attempting to correct. Called the manager later and he said “sorry, I will talk to your waiter”.

Out exploring the community we saw and decided to stop by for some gumbo. We ordered the shrimp gumbo, shrimp etoufee, and a half pound peel and eat shrimp. Our meal came with hot bread. Everything was good, and the service was excellent. Will go back!

I wish I could not add any stars, but apparently, I have to add some. Although, this place doesn’t deserve any. My step daughter, which I hate to even have to add because it should be irrelevant, is Hispanic, was there this evening with her girlfriend. Their server, Heather, treated them disgustingly. I don’t know if it was because they were both Hispanic or that they were two girls dining together, but either way Heather was absolutely vicious to them. She treated them like they didn’t exist and weren’t worth serving. It’s absolutely sickening to me that this happened to them, especially at a well know place that is supposed to be oriented and enjoyable to all. I hope that someone from this restaurant, preferably someone in a position to hold this person accountable, sees this. I’m not going to delve deeper into the obvious discrimination issues here because anybody that reads this can see them. However, it’s pretty clear that if you are Hispanic and/or part of the LGBTQIA+ community, then you will most likely be treated to the same degrading standards that my stepdaughter and her girlfriend received. Especially if Heather is your waitress!

This establishment is absolutely horrible, please don’t eat here if you care about your sanity and wellbeing. Heather was a terrible server, she made it very clear that my girlfriend and I weren’t welcomed here. All we wanted was a nice dinner after a long day and ended up leaving with disappointment and embarrassment. The food was less than mediocre and the service was absolutely awful.

I've been eating at the Crazy Cajun for decades and the food is always good, however expensive. My only complaint is that with all the ceiling fans on, it's like eating in a tornado. Within minutes, the wonderfully-cooked, steaming food was ice-cold making it unpalatable. Please leave the fans off. Ceiling fans have no business being in a restaurant when food is expected to be hot.

For several decades now, whenever my husband and I drove 4 ½ hours to Port A for a vacation, the Crazy Cajun was always our top priority place to go. We arrived at the restaurant on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025 at 6:15pm. We were VERY CURTLY told by an older woman that they were out of most of their seafood and were closing early. There was a teenager standing behind her that seemed to be laughing at our disappointment. We will never again recommend or return to this restaurant.

I recently dined at crazy cajun and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Despite arriving on time. I had to wait over an hour to be seated and another to be served which significantly impacted my overall impression. Additionally was surprised to find a tip had been added to my bill without my consent through my credit card when I had left. When I was informed that this is their policy if a costumer does not tip voluntarily. Customers should be informed of such policies upfront to avoid confusion. I hope the management consider addressing these concerns to improve future guests experiences.

remind me of a fast food Cajun restaurant. Nothing was great but it was not so bad it wasn’t edible. Mostly everything was just over cooked.

No wait greeting can be misleading. Orders and drinks arrived quickly. Half of the table received food in normal time, however, the other half did not. Waited another 90 minutes for shrimp sausage potatoes and corn to finally come out. Server was great but the bill also did not add up to total tender.

They only had 3 things on the menu, the rest they were out of. $11 appetizer for “Boudain” it was 2 pieces of boiled chewy Boudain. Ordered $12 jambalaya and came out in a styrofoam bowl. Never again

The service is average, the atmosphere is unnecessarily dark, and always has been. The food quality has been up and down over the years, but on this last visit I made, it was a good as it has ever been (soft & sweet crab, snappy shrimp, and well seasoned extras). Despite the confusing atmosphere, my entire table thoroughly enjoyed our experience, and we'll likely be back whenever we are back in Port Aransas.
