I live in Dallas. To say that I might be but skeptical about sushi in Port A is an understatement. Let me put your doubt to rest. It's delicious. Give it a shot. You won't be disappointed!

This place is a gem in the Texas Gulf Coast. Great decor reminiscent of a classic New Orleans restaurant like Gallatoire's or Brennan's. Very friendly staff and a great bar and bartender. Fresh oysters with great sauces. Sushi is quite fresh with a beautiful presentation. Shrimp tempura was enormous, tender and delicately prepared. They are building a great wine collection, but it is a must stop if you dine in Port A. We have a new must go to for our next trip to the coast.

Phenomenal food by Port Aransas standards. Really solid performance by big city fine dining standard. The sushi is really quite good. Fresh fish. Plenty of variety for rolls. Such a surprise to find competent, tasty sushi in Port A. Try it!

Went for happy hour. Was delightful. Pretty large selection of hh food for the awesome price. Also enjoyed the Lobster Cake entree. Was delish. Wine was nicely selected on happy hour. Great local. Really cute. Staff top notch. Normally eat A LOT of Giggity's. Is nice to have an option with better wine choices so nearby! Excited to return next time we are in Port A.

I really had high expectations about the this place. 1... being a chef myself 2.... had lots of referrals & it being happy hour on a Thursday. We walked in at 6:10pm & sat at upstairs bar. Waited for a few minutes to order drinks. Finally got a good wine rec & he got his beer. Ordered appies.... took not exaggerating 40 mins for sliders & fries. They got there & were COLD. I'm not a complainer cuz I know the business but when the mng came by & heard we had cold food.....she said very shitty.."no we don't want u to hv cold food" & jerked it away quickly. I told her we could deal with sliders but not Fries. Also not their fault but had an annoying local by us talking rudely over every questioned he asked. Bartender did say his server didn't show but still was not super busy..... his daughter was also there sitting on couches. I get it I really do.... but come on now this is a business.

Their brunch is so good and the serving is so generous that I ate as much as I could but I still didn't have room for all the BACON! Great service, great atmosphere, great food. Love the specials, love everything about this place!

This is without a doubt the finest dining experience in Port Aransas. Best staff, egregiously amazing food, best sushi in town and the finest in libations. Be prepared to pay as what this place offers does not come cheap, but if excellence is what you seek then you should stop by La Barataria. FYI I highly suggest you try the cheese plate appetizer and bloody marys. To check out our experience and others feel free to check out Stanley Orchard on youtube!

One of my favorite restaurants on the island! Especially love their brunch and half price champagne on Sunday! Hands down best brunch in port a! I came with a large group, and they were so accommodating. Even brought snacks for the little ones while we waited. It does take a little longer than some places for food, but everything is home made and worth the wait! No Sysco here! They also give you a fresh bread basket with olive oil and garlic to dip (delicious!) while you wait. This is a place to eat and enjoy with good company. If you are in a huge rush, this is not the best choice. Also great specials 5-7 all week and even better servers. #localperspecrive

Amazing baby spinach salad & grilled chicken on French Battard. Matt was very kind to include bread and a garlic/butter sauce that was...well, no words! Just added this restaurant to our must-eats when we are in Port A.

Such friendly staff! We sat on the upstairs patio and had a great view! The owner helped us pick a wine we would like but that had a great value. The had the steak dinner for two and it was insane! See my picture below. We will definitely be back!
