We didn't have food. We are on the margaritas madness trail. The margaritas are real good here.

Not a great experience. We went for breakfast because the place around the corner had a 90-minute wait. We were seated immediately (literally nobody else in the place). Three other tables came in right after us. They all ate and left before we even got our food. Order was then incorrect and we were over-billed by one entree. The service was so bad that we just let it go so that we could get out of there after our 2-hour stay. I guess I know why there's no line when every other place is slammed in Port A.

Dining at Roosevelt's in Port Aransas was an experience that far exceeded our expectations, marking a memorable evening for my family and me. From the moment we were greeted by our waiter, Tommy, whose service was nothing short of exceptional, we knew we were in for a treat. The calamari, a dish we often enjoy, was so delightful that we couldn't resist ordering a second serving. It was cooked to perfection, offering a balance of textures and flavors that left us craving more. The attention to detail in every dish was evident, with each bite transporting us to a culinary paradise. My daughter was enamored with the ice cream, which, in her words, was the perfect ending to her meal. Meanwhile, my wife's seafood medley pasta dish was a masterpiece of tastes and aromas, seamlessly blending the freshness of the ocean with the warmth of home-cooked pasta. It was, as she described, "off the charts."As for my filet mignon, it was flawlessly prepared, melting in my mouth with each savory bite. The quality of the meat and the skillful preparation made it clear why Roosevelt's has earned its reputation. In summary, our dinner at Roosevelt's was an unforgettable experience, thanks to the exquisite food, outstanding service from Tommy, and the warm, inviting atmosphere. It's a gem in Port Aransas that we can't wait to return to. Whether you're a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and visit Roosevelt's. You won't be disappointed.

I called and made a reservations months in advance for my birthday weekend getaway that we booked to Port Aransas. We arrived and I couldn’t remember if I made the reservation for 7 or 7:30 so I called the night before our reservation. Turns out they were closed on Saturday for a wedding party and if I had not called out dinner plans could have been shot as finer dining in the Port Aransas area is scarce. We ended up at Venetian Hot Plate and we were not disappointed!Be sure to call and see if they remember you exist before you dine here. ✌?

All the food was great, I got the mahi and it was very fresh and mild. Fiance got the rack of lamb and loved it. Really hoping this place doesn't close, all the good restaurants in port a seem to close down.

Our family enjoys the fine dining experience and trying different high-end restaurants, and sadly, the quality of this food and the atmosphere does not meet the standards of fine dining. Our party of five arrived and the hostess was not kind, rather haughty, showed us the table right next to the door and when we said "no thank you" she was not gracious, rather acted "put out" and made us feel that way. Our server was excellent- unfortunately the food was not at all. Pork chop dry and hard, the fish a long slab of greasy flavorless fried moosh, pasta overly spiced to the point of inediblilty, fried shrimp small and dry and flavorless, and the duck chewy and... well we have had better at Chinese take-out places.... and each plate had a strange potato side when there was already another starch making the plate such a "hodgepodge". No bread or simple appetizer is brought complementarily like other nice resaurants... in this case it will cost you $12... for bread. Overall the prices are exhorbitant for food that was at the level of a "ma and pa" country kitchen restaurant. And then the best part... the bill... when it arrives be ready for the "real" stomachache... expect $160-$200 for a couple. All while you dined inside an atmosphere that looks like a barbecue hall or a sandwich shop on the beach... and you leave feeling like you wasted an evening and hard-earned money. I was certainly embarrassed that we didn't "screen" this place before we invited our neighbor friends to join us-- they were even more unhappy than us with the food and the price. This establishment really needs to go to the cities and try some true fine dining and then model after that. Right now they are just trying to fit a round peg in a square hole and it is not working and leaves people with a "bad taste in their mouth."Parking: Very hard to find parking- We parked down the street in another establishment's parking lot. No signs directing patrons where to park.

Dinner was lovely. We had the duck breast and the flounder. Both were nice, but the mushroom risotto was the biggest hit. Delicious!

Came back to Roosevelt after a very bad experience at the Venetian hot plate. The flounder was perfect, the wife's Fillet was also perfectly prepared. Came here once before for my dinner and we will return.

We dined at Roosevelt's this evening, our last night of an extended stay in Port A for Thanksgiving... I must admit I'm struggling with the star rating here, as some things were great, and others not so great. I decided on the 4-star rating because many of the deficiencies were in the side dishes, not main courses, and Bar 1886 was an awesome end to the evening...Out of the gate we decided to forego cocktails and get to vino ... a bottle of Honig Sauvignon Blanc was brought and served, temperature perfect ... very reasonably priced in this day and age! We initially paired that with the "Cheesy Garlic Shrimp" appetizer and the special of the day clam chowder. The chowder was OK, pretty salty for our palates. On the other hand, the cheesy shrimp dish was on point... delicious! Served with toasted bread, we were thinking it may have been better with tortilla chips! In any event, the cheesy shrimp was OMG good... order that! It was huge, so we only finished about one-half!Our entrees included the seared scallops and shrimp, and the chicken shrimp "Invotini." Both entrees were very good, the shrimp, scallops and chicken were cooked perfectly... YUM! The sides (as noted above) were a bit off... the scalloped potatoes were so heavy on the thyme as to be inedible. The mushroom risotto was salty (common theme), and the asparagus side was undercooked. So, entrees 5-star, sides 3-star.After dinner we adjourned to the 1886 Bar, which is part of the restaurant. We maybe should have started and finished the evening there? A way cool bar, great vibe, served great appetizers and awesome cocktails. Mostly locals there, great conversations about Port A, and what's good and bad!If we had started and finished there, the score may have been 5-star. A great couple of cocktails and a "key limon pie" martini finished the evening. Drinks were good, the dessert was OTC (off the charts)! Darn good!Highly recommend Roosevelt's, but consider stopping in (and maybe eating at) Bar 1886 ... good evening, good folks, good times!

This place has some amazing food and a casual yet upscale feel about it. We ate a variety of their options, been the 4 of us that went, and everything was as close to perfection as possible, as far as how the seafood and steak was cooked and how it all tasted. I did ask for some of their house made Cesar dressing, as I opted for the soup instead of a salad with my meal, and the Cesar dressing was not my favorite for sure (it lacked that typical creamy Cesar kick in it), but the saffron sauce I had with my shrimp and scallops was on point. Also recommend dessert and coffee, the creme brulee and the chocolate mousse cake were both very delicious and the bailey's coffee topped it off perfectly.

We are big foodies. Have eaten great food all around the world. This place is a hidden gem. We had grilled mahi mahi with lemon sauce, potatoes, mushroom risotto and ribeye with coconut shrimp. The crème brûlée and white chocolate bread pudding. Everything was a 11 out of 10!!!! Happy anniversary to us!!

What a fabulous restaurant with the most amazing staff. I last ate here in 2017; the testament to the management and leadership of this organization is clear: they know how to attract and retain the right people. The wine selection is exceptional and the food was, simply put [with what I think is an apt metaphor], a veritable symphony on my palate. No, it was a ballet. Ugh. I don't know. Just. consider this recommendation with the most alluring and desirable imagery you can conjure up and it will be well, well worth your time to give these fine folks a shot at a fabulous dinner experience. Bravo to all involved!

Food was unique and very tasty. We had appetizers and entrees. One appetizer was quail, the other a trio of shrimp, oysters and crab cake. All good. Main dishes were duck and spicy seafood pasta. Both excellent except for the side of creamed spinach- so salty it was inedible. Pricey but great for a great meal.

We dined at Roosevelt’s at the Tarpon Inn on the final night of a 4 day weekend with friends & family, & was the perfect finale for a fun filled weekend! Of course I love all the cheeseburgers in paradise I can eat, but it was great to wrap up the family & friends island gathering with a super nice & exquisite culinary experience paired with some nice wine. The service was excellent, fun, & friendly. At the end of the meal, we all agreed we will make Roosevelt’s a new tradition while in Port A!
