I recently visited Sonic, and honestly, I wouldn't recommend it. First off, the ordering process takes forever—you're left waiting way too long just to place an order, and then even longer to actually get your food. It’s just not worth the wait.
What really bothered me, though, was what I saw while waiting. I was standing outside when I noticed employees vaping inside the store through the window. That’s definitely a health code violation, and it really made me question the cleanliness and safety of the place.
On top of that, I found out from one of the employees that new hires are getting paid more than older workers, which is really unfair and shows how little they care about loyalty or treating staff fairly. The same employee also mentioned that it takes an extremely long time to even hear back about employment there, so don't expect a quick response if you apply.
With the slow service, potential health concerns, and questionable pay practices, I won’t be coming back anytime soon. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

The person taking the order couldn't keep it straight. Chicken strips so tough they could with stand a punch from a heavy weight boxer and not even be harmed. The popcorn chicken I think was twice fried . It all tasted of old grease . That includes the fries. Come on Sonic do better. I work hard for my money and would like to enjoy what I spend it on. In my opinion 22 dollars down the drain.

Hamburger meat was freezer burned or something; it was awful!! The onion rings were so hard I could barely eat them!!! Never before have I had such poor tasting/quality of food at Sonic!!! So sad!!

Yay, Port A finally got a Sonic. Went in this second week of September and got a #1, a corn dog and an order of the best onion rings in Port A. Food was fresh, hot and delicious, for a fast food burger joint that is. Beats Whataburger.

Stop for lunch and got my jalapeños papers and onion rings and chicken sandwich and all the food except buns on sandwich was over cooked and burn , realized that when I get back to work to eat my lunch peacefully.

Hours of operation state open late till Midnight. The drive through guy asked to take our order then came back and said they were closed! All the reviews are all bad. Sad with a side of crappy service skills. It’s too much to order a dish of ice scream 30 min prior to closing time posted on the windows.

I’m not sure why on a Tuesday you are out of items. Seems like your management team needs to order ahead of time especially with being in Port Aransas (a tourist town). Also I recommend to retrain the girls who take orders and maybe have them have respect instead of an attitude. I will not be returning which is sad because this used to be my favorite place..

Stopped in for 2 slushes.
After waiting 15 minutes pressed the red button again.
The guy asked to take my order. I replied, maybe we could get our first one. He said what was it?
Said they would get it right out.
A few minutes later a car hop came with an order that wasn't ours and said he would get ours right out.
A few minutes later my wife went inside to get our money back. They said they didn't show a ticket for it. So we showed the text showing the charge to our card. Oh, we will get it right out. No you will give our money back.
Second time there. Bad service both times.
