I visited Port Aransas a few months ago and I still can't stop thinking about the Churrasco Steak from Tortuga's. It was the most flavorful and tender steak I have ever had. My wife loved her pasta dish as well!

Just got into Port A last night and was driving down the road looking for a place to get dinner. We saw a full parking lot and took that as a good sign. We didn't have a reservation but we're able to get a table anyway. Emily F. was our server. She was great! Personable, knowledgeable and attentive. She literally ran us down in the parking lot after we left because my husband forgot his credit card at the table. We both got the Pasta Acadiana. Mine with shrimp and my husband's with chicken. They were both tasty and plentiful. We took home our leftovers and had them for lunch today and it was still excellent!Thank you Emily for providing excellent service. I'm sure that we will dine there again before we leave the island.

My husband and I had dinner with another couple on Saturday night. We walked in at 6pm, and they were able to seat us right away, although they were already starting to get busy. Our server, Brian, was fantastic. He was knowledgeable about the menu, told us about the specials of the day, and provided exceptional service throughout the meal.We ordered oysters, which were fresh and perfectly chilled. Two of us ordered the Snapper Pontchartrain (delicious!), one ordered the Crab crusted fish of the day (very good), and one ordered the fried seafood combo plate (lightly fried to perfection). We all said we would like to come back here when we’re next in town. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and a truly enjoyable dinner.

The food here is amazing, but we felt mostly ignored by our server. Maybe she was having an off night, it happens sometimes. The food is definitely worth giving them a second try.

There on February 22nd 2024. The Crab Imperial Dip was amazing. Honestly. It by far saved the dinner. Not much for soft crab cakes, I like mine crispy but my husband enjoyed his. On the fried platter the breading was falling off the shrimp, fish was ok, but didn't get the oysters with it. Waitress had kitchen make but when we got them they were way too crispy. But yea, the Crab dip was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Meant to go back the day we left and take one home.

Loved this place! The food was delicious and the drinks were strong and pretty!Food & drinks: Best around and the food was very delicious! Make a reservation to be sure to get in with out a wait!
This is a restaurant so the rooms portion of this is not applicable. What we liked: the location was convenient after spending the afternoon at the beach. We were there late afternoon so it wasn’t that busy, it was quiet and we received great service while dining at the bar. The bathrooms are very clean and the location was well marked. We had a tuna tartare appetizer which was excellent, the southwest salad was good but not great, the yellow curry shrimp was outstanding, the shrimp weren’t over cooked which is rare. There’s limited parking. It is pricey but probably normal for the area. Also notable were the napkins which were high quality, this is a nice touch when a restaurant is attempting to distinguish itself from others. Dinner for 2 with 2 drinks was $150.

Tortuga's is one of the few restaurants in Port Aransas that takes reservations. This was beneficial to us as we were traveling with an adult with dementia who had a hard time waiting and adjusting to a new environment. I had to call the restaurant to let them know we were running 5 minutes late and the hostess was friendly and accommodating. Our waitress was top-notch and had a great personality. The food was really good and the manager checked in on us to make sure everything was okay. We went for brunch and I would highly recommend Tortugas.

The raspberry sauce salmon was too die for. The bowtie pasta clams and shrimp and scallops were good. My favorite is the cucumber martinii!!! I had 2. The clam dip was too cheesy- no clams

The food and service here are amazing! Based on reviews we were expecting a good meal but the food was beyond our expectations. We live in the Dallas area so we have our share of seafood and steak restaurants and Tortuga's Saltwater Grill can compete with any of them. Hats off to the chef and their team. We will be back when in town.
