Food was very bland and overcooked. 1 person had the grilled shrimp and said it wasn't bad. Another person had the fried fish and it was overcooked and no taste. A 3rd person had the fried shrimp and oysters which were overcooked and very bland. There was absolutely no seasoning used in the breading for the fish, shrimp or oysters. Cocktail was to sweet because simple syrup was used. Never had one made like that before and it wasn't that good.

The grilled zucchini was the freshest part of the meal. The yellowfin tuna dip is canned tuna with relish and mayonnaise, donāt waste your money on it. The oysters were not released and were lacking any brine, our suspicion was they had been pre-shucked in mass. The mahi was dry and definitely pre-frozen, as were all the shrimp, which makes no sense here in the gulf where fresh shrimp are plentiful. The service was very good, but the food sucks. Even the mashed potatoes were definitely boxed and rehydrated. If you go here, stick to the drinks and the view, the food isnāt worth eating here.

Above average seafood in a great atmosphere. Customer service seemed to be an afterthought. The fastest path to a low tip is to ignore me for ofer 20 minutes and ser ve other who were seated after me.

Itās more like a place to go for drinks & the atmosphere. The food was awful. Party of 8 everyone ordered something different. No pictures of food taken. No one finished their food, & no one wanted to-go boxes. We stared off with a few appetizers. The Calamari was not edibleā¦. It was so rubbery we couldnāt take a bite of it. My crab cakes were soooo fishy. Nasty! Someone else had a seafood boil. Nothing in the seafood boil was freshly cooked. Very disappointing.
I forgot to add. We needed cups w/ lids for 2 kids & were told that would be an additional $3.99 each. Is that normal for that area? We were visiting from out of town.

Coconut shrimp dinner was good. Only thing is the rice could have used more seasoning. I had to load it down with salt n pepper. Nine dollars for a bloody mary in a small Mason jar is crazy. But I understand drinks are expensive every where.

I had the grilled shrimp and mahi-mahi made xed platter. It was very delicious along with the baked potato and grilled zucchini! On the menu it stated that it was gluten free which only what I can eat. It was delicious but I did have a stomach ache That evening and morning. I think there might have been some cross contamination That was the cause of my stomach ache. I would recommend him but I would ask them to be very careful when preparing my meal the next.

Nice view but less than impressed with the food at Virginia's. Coconut fried shrimp was overdone. Large portion of accompanying vegetables was very disappointing because it tasted like it was all boiled together on a cauldron of water to the point of softness with no seasoning. Garlic potatoes were very salty.

Family dinner there. Food was not good. Shrimp cocktails were awful. Very small shrimp that was mushy.... a couple people had fish platters that were cold. Food subpar.. waitress really tried, she was overwhelmed with the number of tables she had. Would not go back. Philly cheese sandwich was ice cold and the bun was rock hard. Very disappointed... will not go back.

I ordered the sampler plate with flounder, oysters, shrimp, and baked potato. It was absolutely the best food that we have eaten on the Island these last two weeks.
The service was perfect. Jordan took care of our table. The atmosphere was very relaxed with open air dining with a lovely view of the water and boats. The prices were as expected for very fresh seafood. My husband and I will definitely come back when we return to the coast.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

We went to Virginiaās on the Bay for date night, and it felt like something straight out of a romance movie ā the kind where the main characters just happen to be hopelessly obsessed with each other.
We asked for patio seating and lucked into the most perfect spot. The Bay was shining, boats drifting in like they were making an entrance just for us, and the seagulls were out there living their dramatic little lives. It was the kind of view that makes you lean back, smile, and think, Yeah⦠this is our kind of night.
We started with the shrimp cocktail and tuna dip ā both so fresh that Steph and I kept sharing those āokay this is AMAZINGā looks. She got the Rum Runner and loved it. I ordered the Trixie Special, which was sweet, delicious, and so smooth I finished it way too fast. Zero warning that it had alcohol⦠which probably explains why I was feeling extra flirty and adorable. (Steph didnāt mind.)
We shared the Seafood Boil, and it was perfect ā messy in the fun way, full of laughter, stealing bites from each other, and just enjoying being exactly where we were: together, relaxed, and happy.
Do yourself a favor and go. And when you do, ask for Jordan ā he was the kind of waiter who somehow made the whole night flow even smoother.
Date-night approved. Couple-tested. Five stars from us.
