First and Last time ⏲️ trying dis place rather a taco truck at least I will be treated with respect. Great decoration and some wait staff are amazing 👏🏿 but you have to experience it to know at least give this place a shot they have 2 locations

Today I got off early and was able to experience this wonderful restaurant inside and out. The whole area is decorated with beautiful art pieces and eye catching colors. The service was great too, and the food was excellent to me. The inside had everything you want to see from guitars 🎸, to old record albums. I was so impressed and can't wait to visit again. Thanks for the superb experience 😀.

Really fun restaurant, so much to look at. No dogs allowed. Staff was fine. Food was good, but the corn tortilla alittle flimsy. Id give it a 2nd try.
The fajitas were served warmish, NOT hot, not even close, like they had been sitting for a while. Not surprising since it took forever to get our food. The service was awful. no one offered a drink refill, the waitress barely spoke. The food was ok, bit not worth the terrible service. There are too many local places with awesome service.

First time trying El Refu. My wife and I were looking for a different place to eat and drove from Beaumont to eat there. The service was great but the food was meh and my Dr. Pepper didn't taste like Dr. Pepper or anything else I recognized. The staff was really friendly and the service was great but everything was disappointing and priced higher than their competition. Port Arthur has too many Mexican restaurants and this one was ok overall but falls behind the competition (Carmella's, La Suprema, Tequila's, El Viejo Tony, etc). Not a bad experience but we'll never eat here again due to better tasting food (and fountain drinks) at most places.
