Seaside seafood is a restaurant based in Southeast Texas that specializes in fried seafood as the name might suggest. Although, there is stiff competition in that general area, this place has been my go to recently. I usually order their salt and pepper shrimp dinner plate which comes with 6 pc shrimp, 1 bread, salad, and your choice of french fries or shrimp fried rice. Their shrimp is always so crispy and the salt and pepper may be overbearing for some, but paired with sides is perfect to me. Typically, I do get it to-go, as I normally and getting something for just myself, but the interior has more than enough space and is rather clean. The parking situation is a little tight but nothing to stress over.

Their BBQ Crabs won 3 YEARS in a row! Well deserved, because it’s literally the best! They have really good food all around but the honorable mentions that my family loved is the BBQ Crabs and fish, shrimp and oysters in their delicious cornmeal batter has been their original classics. Their crawfish fried rice is special because it tastes like a fried rice dish had a baby with a crawfish boil, it’s SO good. Salt and pepper fried baby crabs (seasonal), shrimp, wings and gizzards are a favorite in my family too. I haven’t been able to try their boiled crawfish, shrimp and dungeoness or snow crabs yet but my cousins in town recommend them to everyone. I just get excited for all the fried dishes that I don’t have room when I visit haha!I drive all the way from Baton Rouge, LA to eat here and I can’t say enough good things about it. They were the first original John’s Seafood and then they built a brand new building and rebranded to Seaside Seafood. I’ve been following them for years when I come into town to visit family and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND to EVERYONE!

A coworker recommended this place to me as one of the best seafood spots in Port Arthur. It wasn't bad. Fish/Shrimp dinners - loved the crunch of the breading. It was a little salty for me, but very flavorful! Fish was a little dry. Enjoyed the tarter sauce. I chose rice to accompany and there was nothing special about it. Came with a small side salad with way too much dressing, but I finished it lol. Boiled shrimp - Too salty for me and overcooked. Had a hard time getting the shell off. Good size shrimp though. Boiled potatoes - these were actually my favorite. Cooked perfectly. Would I go back? Eh, probably so.

The review by Robert M is uninformed as bbq crabs are prepared by deep frying. Yelp should delete his review. Seaside's crabs are excellent and comparable to Sartins
