Great food, great atmosphere , the waitress got our food fast.But tell the chef that my plate was delicious , I was impressed by the salad, I tasted something like this at Loews santa Monica Beach hotel in California high in dinning.

Finally had the opportunity to go to Tia Juanita's in Port Arthur last evening. We were seated quickly, offered watered promptly and given a chance to order. There is so very much to chose from so it took a while! ?. Once orders were made, it did take a few, but this was understood since the restaurant was full. We ordered the boudain balls which was really a treat. Our food came shortly after and my what a presentation. I ordered the Trio Tacos, blackened and they were amazing! My friends dishes were just as appealing. Although quite filled, we shared a bread pudding, my friend insisted. Pleasant evening, great food/service was enjoyed. The only issue was as the evening wore on the music was turned up quite a bit, which made it difficult to hear one another. Otherwise everything else was perfect...
Great food, and service. Found a spot at the bar faster than a table and was 100% happy. Noisy with band playing, but music was good and still able to have a conversation.
Outstanding food. Ate twice in two days. Oysters were awesome, and I want the recipe for the stuffed mushrooms ?

So when my wife and I first came to Texas everybody talked about Tia Juanita’s. So me and my wife decided to check it out and I’m not going to lie it was freaking awesome lol. The food was great and service was even better. The atmosphere was positive and all the servers were and still are amazing. So we had stopped going there for no specific reason other than we got burnt out on it because we were going about every week lol. So some time had passed and I had the cravings for Tia Juanita’s and I told the wife that’s what’s for dinner tonight so we went and had our usual blackened shrimp and crab bowl and oysters. It was not the same it tasted greasy and the cheese wasn’t all the way melted it’s like whoever they had as their chef when we first got there quit and they just hired whoever said they’ll work. It was a total let down honestly. I really feel like in my own opinion that Tia Juanita’s is loosing its touch and needs to regain that spark in the food they used to have. Other than that it’s a great place to go and have great service and great vibes.

Not from Port Arthur, but reviews were right. Every... Single... Thing... Exceeded expectations. Worth the drive from Houston.
