Had lunch here today and it was AWFUL ! Salad was soggy and lunch bill for two people (salads) was almost $50! Waitstaff was quite nice but food was pitiful. This is my last visit there!!!!!

Nice place, but the food is bland and not good at all. Girlfriend had the meatloaf and I had the chicken fried steak… the first chicken fried steak came out burnt absolutely burnt… they cooked another one and it came out rubbery. The meatloaf was cold and the mash potatoes had zero favor… as did the Mac n cheese.. the empty place should have been a sign of what was to come. Save your money.In response to the owners comments… we were traveling through from South Texas… I don’t think we’ll be back in Port Lavaca anytime soon. I spent $52 bucks on bad food… that we didn’t even eat… correction we ate most of the mozzarella triangles. You do have good tea. But that’s it. I even told the server the food wasn’t good… the plates were hardly touched. And they still took my money.

Went in this establishment to have supper to celebrate my granddaughter making cheerleader there was 9 of us. My daughters family and my husband and I. The waiter came over said be a minute then comes back and says no tables available for 9 so I ask what about putting the 2 together she said let me ask my manager comes back and says no we can't put together we already put a table together for another party and need those tables for smaller parties. They had plenty of other tables available for that. It qas very rude. I mean what is the difference in our party together or smaller parties coming in. Money is money rather it comes from a party of 9 or 2 smaller parties that equal 9. So we left and finding somewhere else that will appreciate our money.

Omg, great food and service! Had the Chicken fried steak special with mashed potatoes and green beans - it all tasted great. Honestly the coconut pie was so good I’ll probably come by again just to have pie and coffee ? Restaurant was clean and everyone working there was friendly and helpful - definitely will be back!

I would give this place way more than 5 stars if I was able to! I ordered the Jacked Grill Chicken and it was the best chicken I’ve ever had! Moist, tender and well seasoned! I’m so happy I got to experience this restaurant!

Awesome place. Service was great. Had the Chicken Fried Steak. All of the food was fresh and tasted homemade. They had a large selection of pies, but, we somehow managed to walk by without buying one.

My fav place to eat on pay day Fried pickles are a must with their homemade ranch. The wait staff is great and so is their atmosphere. Calming country music, makes you feel like you're just hanging out with friends and eating a nice dinner at home
