Chicken Shops near Portland, TX

“They’re “passable”. Unfortunately they seem to be the best chicken around. Went in tonight and there was a lot of unnecessary chatter and grab-assing going on. Took several minutes before anyone came to the order counter to take my order and she was still carrying on a conversation over her shoulder with the help in the kitchen while I was trying to place my order. apparently they don’t check and clean the gizzards of the lining anymore if at all, I had over half of the order that still had the membrane on them. There used to be a couple of good managers at this store and the employees were on the ball but not anymore.“

“I'm disappointed when I ask for Japanese kenta, but I'm still happy to be able to get delicious chicken for $5 in America. Japanese Kenta chicken has a soft batter and is delicious with a secret recipe, but the chicken batter here is crunchy, but the spices are not so good, making it a bit bland.
I ordered rhinoceros, drum, potatoes and biscuits.
Rhino: Juicy and delicious. It's greasy.
Drums: Small, but generally good.
Potato: Very salty
Biscuit: Too salty to eat.“

“We don’t come here all the time but every time we do it’s a great experience. The food is fresh, the service is quick, and the location is super clean. Like, noticeably cleaner than most fast food places. Floors, tables, drink station — all spotless. It’s almost suspicious how clean it is lol

Last time we came in one of the employees gave our daughter a Chick-fil-A cow plush out of nowhere and she was hyped. Totally made her day. It was one of those small things that actually sticks with you.

Even though we’re not regulars it’s always solid when we show up. Good food, friendly people, and a chill place to eat. No complaints here!! Keep it up!“
