“I absolutely hate this restaurant but my family drags me there all the time. Went there last night against my will and finally had a server that was top notch. Thank you Drew! He knew what a steak cooked blue was and we had to almost ask for nothing. First server ever to walk by and remove dishes we weren’t using to keep the table neat. He acted like a manager not just a waiter. He definitely had prior server experience at a good restaurant. Make him a head server (with more pay) to train others. Seriously, Applebee’s needs him. “I come here all the time and it’s honestly one of my favorite bars. The staff is usually amazing. I’ve never had a single issue with the door guys or any of the floor staff, and I’ve always felt comfortable going up to someone if there’s ever a problem.
But this past Saturday night, that completely changed. I was waiting outside the women’s restroom since there was a line inside the right-side bathrooms. While I was standing there, a girl who I thought was just another customer walked in ahead of me. When I followed behind assuming I was next, since I’d been waiting she immediately started being hostile.
I was honestly shocked. She told me I wasn’t waiting, that I needed to calm down, and that she worked there so she was going first. When I asked her name, she said it was Hannah. I immediately walked away from the bathrooms at that point not even handling business.
The whole situation was unnecessarily rude and embarrassing, especially in a place where I’ve always felt welcome. I don’t expect special treatment, but I do expect basic respect especially from someone representing the staff. I really hope management looks into it because I’d hate for this one encounter to happen again when another person walks in before Hannah. It was clear that I was waiting and she was simply rude for no reason.“
