“We came from out of town for a funeral, which happened to take place on my birthday, so my parents wanted to take me out for lunch. My absolute favorite food is a bombass burger. You can call me basic, but I call it American.Being a Sunday, nearly every place we picked out was closed so we kept going down the list and came to Brown Bag Saloon with great reviews. The atmosphere Definitely felt more bar, and less bar and grill. But still, didn't feel inappropriate for my 3 youngsters to accompany for lunch. The good:The burgers were AMAZING. and portions were generous. We ordered 3 burger baskets, and a sampler appetizer and it was more than plenty for myself, 2 parents, 14,13 and 9 year old.Every Texan knows how important a good side of ranch is dipping, pouring, drinking ... And they did not disappoint with their made-in-house sauce. The fries were also cut from fresh and delivered the perfect amount of mush/al dente combination every carbaholic looks for in a good French fry.The bad:The prices reflected online were incorrect and the current menu featured higher prices than anticipated.Soft drinks were uncharacteristically high being over $3 for a soda. And we were charged a service fee of $7 which was not noted in the "fine print" on the menu.Guessing it was a charge for not ordering alcohol???So I'm hoping the waitress got that as her tip, because we refused to get charged $7 on a $50 tab and then pay an additional tip on top. That was unexpected. All in all. Not a bad establishment. Would love to stop in on a Friday night and see what they have to offer along the lines of drinks and a good time.“
“I've only been here twice. Nice place and I like the fact that they serve food now.I went on Friday while they had the Turkey & Dressing special. Hands down the best Turkey & Dressing from a restaurant in Victoria. The turkey was tender and juicy and the Dressing was excellent. Mash was very good and the green beans were delicious and well seasoned.Service wasn't the best, I assume like everyone else that they have staffing problems. Aside from that everyone was polite.Wheelchair accessibility: Standard curb cuts and ramps. Easy ADA sill at the door. Table access throughout.“
“Our first time there was great we went during a music event. We were aware that they served food but forgot what time they stopped. Majority of the people still participated in social distancing until the concert was over and everyone was going inside because it was cooler and I believe alcohol played a part because it got crowded fast.“
“Was just visiting Victoria and needed a place to eat have a drink and relax after work. Atmosphere was chill and the bartender gave a good reference to a pizza place that delivered there. Juke box for music had a great variety and pool tables as well as lounge chairs and sitting chairs with television's occupied the rest of the space.“
“We had a good time country dancing! Got there early so we could hog the dance floor. Jukebox had a great selection before the DJ showed up.Drinks were reasonably priced and bartenderess was very nice.Bathrooms were clean! The bottle lights and fiber optic lights were cool.A good time was had by all!“
“Had a nice $80 celebration dinner for 2, but that included $20 in drinks- highly recommend the house beer... , the trio chip app, which has cheese, guacamole, and salsa, which was also awesome. Our main meals were great, split 20 wings, and my friend got a burger and fries. The fries didn't get eaten, but were OK. The rest was great, the hottest level sauce is not for the faint of heart. Glad I got lemon pepper with them! We ate almost everything and had a great time!“
“Dope new spot. Atmosphere is pretty cool, staff is friendly and attentive, service is pretty fast. Food is just okay, there are plenty of selections but not a large variety. I’m able to find a few things that sound good but my wife more or less had to settle for something that ended up being decent. I’d love to see a better menu, but otherwise the place is pretty cool“
