Very quaint and cute. Would do it again with more time. They also have some homemade jam and other goodies. Not your typical booshie winery so don't expect it....

I recently visited Poteet Winery, and I was absolutely blown away. The free wine tasting was a great way to learn about the different wines that the winery produces. The tasting room is small and intimate, which made it feel like a personal experience. The winemaker was very knowledgeable and passionate about her wines, and she took the time to explain each wine to us in detail. We tried a variety of wines, Strawberry /Blackberry, Blackberry, Blueberry, Strawberry Reserve. All of the wines were delicious, and I especially enjoyed the Blackberry. The location of the winery is also very special. It is located in the small town of Poteet in the suburbs of San Antonio. The staff at Poteet Winery were some of the friendliest people I have ever met. They were welcoming and accommodating, and they really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. I would highly recommend Poteet Winery to anyone looking for a great wine tasting experience.Hours are from 8:00-5:00 or give them a call for a personal tour.

WORTH. THE. DRIVE. The wines pictured taste like jam or preserves that have fermented and that's a good thing! Sweet and tasty, nothing bad to say! We sampled a few others, and even the dry wine was very sweet and tasty. The storefront is very simple, lots of real old country decor and knickknacks, windmill weights and antiques. Will be going back for sure!

Very cute rustic winery. Staff was very nice and if you like sweet wines this is place for you. Locally grown, operated and made in Poteet. Good prices too. Definitely worth a stop by.

Poteet Strawberry Wine is wonderful but there is nothing worth driving down to Texas to get. It's too bad their operation is too small to offer their products online anymore. I haven't been able to locate it in several years. I'd love to buy a few cases of this stuff. Oh, well.

A definite stop to make if you are into wine. Don’t be afraid to stop by if it looks secluded as it is a hidden gem. The winery has a great selection of wines which are produced and bottled onsite. I loved all their wines but I took home a bottle of their mustang wine.

Adorable winery. Ice cream & blackberry jelly are fantastic as well.

Great wine, great prices, and various flavors to choose from. I picked up a few bottles of Reserve for home and for a friend.

The wife and I decided to give this place a try. As we drove up there 3 men standing and talking outside and as we walked up the doors were locked and I turned to ask if they were closed today and neither one of them knew anything. Then we saw some one drive up toward the rear of the building then opened the front door and welcomed us in. He introduced himself as Gabriel. He ran down the samples from dry to sweet. There are no cheese trays, no place to sit to enjoy a bottle and no stools at the bar to enjoy the samples while you try to decide what delicious wine you're taking home !
