If you like smokey old dive bars, then you found your destination. Everybody who works here is like family. Everybody who's sitting around the bar drinking becomes your family. Good jukebox, pool tables and shuffleboard. Best place to catch up on all the local gossip. Home away from home.

This is what I call a dive bar, but it's not a bad connotation. It's small, older, and worn but the people and amenities were wonderful. Just needs some TLC and a deep cleaning. One bartender with a large crowd made for a little wait time, but it was tolerable. If you can't handle cigarette smoke, stay away. Smoking is still allowed in this bar. Not sure if they sell food or have a menu. There was a football watching group and 2 patrons who brought some good food that was free for everyone. We were hoping for a dart board as mentioned on a website, but they didn't have one. We played shuffleboard instead. They also have 2 billiard tables and an outdoor seating area that we did not explore. Water was shut off in that whole neighborhood during our visit It was interesting but didnt cause any major issues for patrons.
My wife and I was on vacation and we visited this place and they welcomed us with open arms very good vibes...And the bartender Yvonne was amazing...I definitely recommend this place..... We will definitely be revisiting Anchor Up

Came in, looking for a bite to eat and something to drink. Tiffany, the bartender served up a mean, Jim Beam, and Coca Cola. The music on the jukebox was right. Was given the recommendation to eat a pork chop cooked by Sarah who is a complete gem. It did not disappoint. In fact, it was the best pork chop. I’ve had in years.
I’ve been to Michelin star restaurants in France. The top restaurants that Dallas and Austin have to offer.
But never in my life have I been to a bar & grill so welcoming, so delicious and so refreshing.
Life is good y’all. And these ladies are to thank. If the owners are reading this, you should definitely give them a raise.
