Came here to entertain family from out of town. Drove an hour to get out of the city. The location is very pretty and rustic. We wanted to do some wine tastings before choosing a bottle to drink. Long wait, no tasting glasses. They scavenged for a 4 glass tasting flight to share anong a family of 6. The wine tasted very similar to us.

If you want to wait in line for 45 minutes for a glass of wine, this is your place. You can't open a tab, you can't get service, you have to wait in line for about 45 minutes for each round.

We bought a couple of bottles instead of glasses to play along with this terrible business model. But when we went back for refills, there was 35-40 people in line and it moved SUPER slow. I wanted to give them my money, but unfortunately the business model doesn't allow for that. I couldn't possibly be more disappointed. If I wanted to spend a good amount of money it would be impossible. The system is truly struggling.

We thought we'd try going out for Valentine's Day for a change. We bought tickets to Fortunata's "special" Valentine's Day event. Boy were we disappointed. The people at the counter were confused as to what we had a reservation for. Obviously frustrated because people were calling in exclaiming "Jesus" when they got back to back calls. $60 each for very small portions including maybe a shot's glass worth of pink bubbly each, a tiny garden salad to share, a tiny caprese salad to share, a sad, tiny charcuterie board to share (on piece of "wood" that is the equivalent of popsicle stick wood, two regular sized entrees, and two small desserts. We were put out in "the pavilion" - the most unromantic place on the site as far as we could tell. Four white walls with three tiny little heart decorations. The tables were decorated nicely. The quality of this whole event was more like a country wedding reception. There were two servers manning the serving tables - no actual servers to wait tables. Tables were crowded together despite them not even being half filled. Everything was served in or on the absolute cheapest disposable plastic. The stuffed pork chops were steamed to a toughness that no flimsy bending plastic fork and knife could get through. Getting the several whole cherry tomatoes into our mouths was quite the adventure with a fork and knife that couldn't hold or cut them. We were out of there in less than an hour because it was clear this was a money grab for the holiday. It was truly shocking how bad it was. Oh, and playing fox news in the main building. My husband wanted to call for a refund but their hours are limited and he couldn't make it work with his work travel schedule.

So we drive to an event from quite far off, and when we reached at the event, we did come across signs that no kids were allowed. We were almost prepared to leave but because our youngest kids were super hungry, wanted to at least order something as the drive was so far out for us. but then came this lady we felt like so condescending and just didn’t have the nature to understand customers. The surprising part was all other reviewers probably praised so heavily of her but this lady just didn’t have the heart to even allow us to buy food for our kids. We were firmly told this is an over 21 place which we almost believed, until we came back home and started to read more on what went wrong. yet if you see some reviews with pictures on google reviews, there were kids too during events. Now I don’t know what they were even talking about.
While I appreciate the rules and why they are , we being guests to a family event and driving so far , could have been dealt with some respect and decency! For those of you who want to explore themselves, you can see a review with a wedding and lots of kids in that pic at this property!

For a place like this, thought the management could have showed the decency to understand customers. I guess you have lost a good customer here and more to come. I am only reviewing this place for the type of service o received and this review doesn’t explore the stay or food. Please read other reviews for that. It looks like food is good there.

Only 21+. This is not a criticism, just important information. We have children and only noticed this when we arrived. So if you have children, be warned so you don't miss out on the trip.

WOW! What an evening! I cannot say enough about Jeannette at Fortunata Winery and her fabulous assistance and insights and graciousness in helping make our Appetizer & Wine Cocktail Party the eve of our son's wedding! Jeanette worked with me long distance, as I was unable to travel up to Aubrey Texas to consult with her inperson for our special event. Jeanette would send me photos, suggestions, ideas, anything we needed to make this evening delicious and FUN! The food at Fortunata is so good and I do not think much was left over after our cocktail party. She helped with the decorations which exceeded everyone's expectations and. she helped make our celebration event in the Fortunata Italian Courtyard a beautiful one. Jeanette is exceptional and so easy to work with! Thank you, Jeanette, for making this night one we will remember fondly!

Scheduled a meeting with the event coordinator to discuss having a wedding and reception here. Drove an hour to get here, arrived 15 minutes early and we were told to wait. Waited 30 minutes after scheduled appt. Never heard from anyone, noone offered a food or drink menu or even a glass of water while we waited.

Here’s my review:

I came to stay in cabin 6. When we arrived the kitchen was closed and they were finishing up closing the kitchen. There was no signs showing where we needed to go for check in.
We had to ask someone else and they showed us where to go.
When we checked in- we didn’t give them our ID, credit card, nothing. They didn’t ask for anything and they didn’t actually even show us booked for the night. I had to show them a text from someone that worked at fortunata showing them we did in fact have a room. They wrote our keypad code for the room on a sticky note. Off we go to the room, it’s nice, zero complaints.
We put our stuff down and went to dinner. When we got back at 8pm the place was completely black. No lights. No way to use the outdoor seating areas that has tons of lights hanging but they were all off. It was pitch black.
We ended up not even staying the night.
The turkeys were cool tho.

Everything about our wedding was pretty PERFECT, thanks to Jeanette! She is SO creative, patient, responsive and amazing! She decorated the venue in such a beautiful and elegant way and was present the entire time ensuring that everything flowed perfectly. In addition, Villa 1 was also gorgeous and perfect for pre wedding photos. The white tub - OMG.

Fortunata Winery was the perfect venue for our kids rehearsal dinner! Thanks to Jeanette she made it beautiful putting extra time and effort decorating the tables with extra flowers, just how I wanted them to be! Food was good, location was great, atmosphere was perfect!

I really liked this place. It was reasonable pricing. Nice little charcuterie board. The sins was cold and the Fortunata pizza was good. They had a live band at around 6 and they had good music as well. It will be nicer in the fall because it’s not going to be hot. I will be back.
