“Ordered the Red Hot wings with fries. The wings were good, well made. The fries were steak fries with seasoning. It's not really my favorite, but they were actually pretty good. The restaurant was clean and the staff (owners maybe) were very friendly. The place was a bit too hot and stuffy, so I asked for to go order. I really want to try their burgers, so I will return.”

“I recently visited Pastelitos Hugo, located at 380 University Dr, and I have to say, the food did not disappoint! If you're looking to dive into some authentic Venezuelan flavors, this place is a must-try. Their pastelitos, tequeños, and empanadas are delicious, with perfectly crisp exteriors and flavorful fillings that take you on a culinary journey straight to Venezuela.

However, while the food truly shines, there is room for improvement in their customer service. The staff could be a bit more attentive and welcoming, as there were moments during my visit when I felt overlooked. A warmer approach to customers would enhance the overall dining experience.

That said, don't let the service stop you from visiting! The food is worth it. Whether you're familiar with Venezuelan cuisine or you're trying it for the first time, Pastelitos Hugo offers a great introduction to the country’s traditional dishes. I highly recommend trying their arepas and cachapas for a true taste of Venezuela.

With a few tweaks in service, this place could easily reach five stars. Definitely worth a visit for anyone eager to explore the rich and savory delights of Venezuelan street food!”

“We had an excellent dinner tonight. Service was excellent and food was very tasty!! Austin gave outstanding customer service which is hard to find these days. He was professional, respectful, gave good suggestions and followed up at the end of the meal to make sure we had a good experience. I was rolling in with a stroller and he rushed out to grab the door. It’s things like that that make the difference with customer service. We will totally be back. Honolulu was our favorite.”

“My wife and I were searching all over to find a taqueria with barbacoa. We even considered driving 20 miles. Little did we know, right in our backyard, is Pollo Regio. It was clean, the staff friendly, ave some of the best barbacoa tacos I have ever had. Took me back to Sunday mornings as a kid. We will definitely be returning here!”

“My middle child was across the street with a broken arm. My husband stayed with her and I needed something close to do with my other kiddos. We came to fruitealicious to go to the bathroom but then noticed yummy drinks, plenty of seats and games! My kiddos played jenga and dominoes while sipping on a smoothie. “This was a cool little find. We were treated like royalty by our server Rachel for being first-timers. The venue itself is cute with an outdoor patio in addition to indoor booths and tables. The French Onion Soup was very tasty and a bit different - topped with puff pastry rather than cheese, but the cheese was still nice and gooey inside the soup. My wife said her tenderloin salad was good. We both enjoyed her blackberry smash. We live in Garland so we won't get there often, but it will stay in our radar when we're in the area.”

First of all, the sweets all looked absolutely amazing! We tried the berry pecan and coconut cream cupcakes! They were soooo good! I was also surprised to see they happened to have buckeyes! ( We are from Ohio!). I got some to go and they were great! They people there were so friendly and really patient as it took me forever to figure out what to get as the choices all looked so great. “This place was incredible!!! I sat down and was immediately off put by the price, but I’d spent a lot of time finding a place my family could agree on so we stuck it out. And boy am I GLAD we did. I got the burger and it was incredible perfectly juicy and all the flavors blended in so well together. My mom got a salad with the chicken on the side, and that was the BEST chicken any of us ever had, it literally melted in your mouth it was so juicy and tender. They only had 2 options for kids food and my 18 month old picky eater got sliders which she devoured!! The staff was so friendly and accommodated so well with any special requests we had, the owner even came by and played peek a boo with my daughter towards the end of my meal when she began to fuss. The atmosphere really created a vibe that encourages families to sit and talk with one another, we normally are on the phone at dinner type of people and not 1 of us even thought to touch our phone. Give this place a try!!! You won’t regret it”

“Soooo Delicious! This was our 1st time and the we definitely be back! I especially loved the tacos, which had so much flavor. My wife enjoyed the coco shrimp with the sweet and spicy sauce and the sweet chili sauce mixed. The staff were very nice and personable and it was an enjoyable relaxed atmosphere.”
