The cashier has a bad attitude, it seems like she doesn't like her job.

You all want to play games and call cops on people. Ok, technically, your dumpster is in our private property. So we'll start locking up the dumpster. Also, where the taco truck was parked, that is technically shared public space. Play games and get games.

We ate some shredded chicken empanadas and some pastries. Only the potato and cheese pastries were good in my opinion. The shredded beef stew tasteless and dry, the dry chicken almost inedible, the white sauce doesn't taste like anything, I don't know what it is. It's not garlic or tartar or mayonnaise, I have no idea what it's supposed to be. The prices are not bad, I don't think I will return. I wrote down everything I read above while I was there, however my wife developed symptoms of food poisoning during the afternoon and evening of that same day. We thought it was the chicken empanada.

The man who is always serving always has a bad mood. They should have better customer service, at least be more polite because you are paying to go there. Otherwise, it is super good, the food is very tasty.

The food was very good but the service was terrible! The older man who serves is very rude and treats everyone very badly. They shouldn't have someone like that serving if they don't know what good customer service is. Bitter and rude!!!

Unfortunately, I have to warn people to avoid this Venezuelan restaurant. Two weeks ago, I decided it would be my last visit because the beef tasted off and the flavor was terrible. I gave it another shot today, but the oil they used for frying seemed old, probably over two weeks. We had to throw the food out, and now I'm thinking about seeing a doctor because of some serious stomach pain. It’s disappointing because they represent part of my culture, and I really wish they’d offer higher-quality food to the American public.

Whenever I go to buy takeaway, I don't know why, but the person who serves in the morning always makes a mistake in the order, he gives me things that I don't ask for, I always ask for a variety of things and he never gives me exactly what I ask for.

I recently visited Pastelitos Hugo, located at 380 University Dr, and I have to say, the food did not disappoint! If you're looking to dive into some authentic Venezuelan flavors, this place is a must-try. Their pastelitos, tequeños, and empanadas are delicious, with perfectly crisp exteriors and flavorful fillings that take you on a culinary journey straight to Venezuela.
However, while the food truly shines, there is room for improvement in their customer service. The staff could be a bit more attentive and welcoming, as there were moments during my visit when I felt overlooked. A warmer approach to customers would enhance the overall dining experience.
That said, don't let the service stop you from visiting! The food is worth it. Whether you're familiar with Venezuelan cuisine or you're trying it for the first time, Pastelitos Hugo offers a great introduction to the country’s traditional dishes. I highly recommend trying their arepas and cachapas for a true taste of Venezuela.
With a few tweaks in service, this place could easily reach five stars. Definitely worth a visit for anyone eager to explore the rich and savory delights of Venezuelan street food!
