Encore donuts was a staple of Quitman, a beacon of breakfast really. Sadly I am sure the community has noticed it is now very different, the quality is slightly off. The previous owners were a bar above any donut place in the county hands down. The new owners stride to catch up to the shadow of their predecessor, it's not a bad donut to say but it isn't quite the same. I hope they find success and carve out a name for themselves, they seem kind.
We're visiting the area every couple weeks and decided to try out Encore. We were glad we did to say the least. Great service and their biscuits and kolaches are some of the best we've ever had. Tip: Call in large orders ahead.
The donuts are good, as far as donuts go. The kaloches are really good. My only problem with this place is, I feel the prices are a little costly.It doesn't keep me from going there, though, because the other donuts shop never has the items I want. They always say, "that will be ready at 10 o'clock". So, in Quitman, Texas, I go to Encore Donuts.
