Highly recommended given that they offer tasty and authentic Taiwanese dishes in a reasonable price range!

What a refreshing experience! My husband and I stumbled in here when the wait was too long at another restaurant nearby. I'm so glad we did. Service was so lovely, and the quality of the ingredients was obvious. The sushi was super fresh and perfectly cut. We did one roll and the peppered tuna tataki (SO GOOD!) one of the employees accidentally cleared my plate before I had the chance to eat the last piece, and the owner was gracious enough to bring us more out. It was very generous of her! We ordered a pork and rice bowl, as well. We were told by the owner it is an authentic Taiwanese dish and difficult to find in other restaurants. The flavors were well developed and deep. I have been dreaming of that bowl since that day! Cant wait to go back and have it again and try more things from the menu. Make sure you check out the specials! I think I'll try the smoked duck next time :)

We love going to Genroku. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Food is authentic and delicious! Love the basil chicken and tomato and egg. We always order too much food so we have great leftovers the next day. Reasonable prices, nice atmosphere for a Chinese restaurant in this center. We'll definitely be back soon!

Great kung pao! One of those spots you may not think would be that great by the appearance but don't judge this book by it's cover..the food is excellent

This is the place I go when I want a taste like home. Food is delicious, not very pricey. Service is okay. They also serve sushi.. but we always get the Taiwanese food when we come here. Make sure to try their basil chicken bone in.. So delicious

Omg, wanted sushi with my family and we found this place. Everything was on point. Sushi was fantastic, fried rice was to die for & the orange chicken was on point.

I've been a regular here for YEARS. The food is consistently good. Menu has a great selection of food. Sushi is fresh and delicious Staff is so nice and accommodating. I've never felt ignored or rushed here. Venue is always clean and inviting. Service is always fast. Thanks for existing. I'll probably be there again next week.

Pretty decent sushi if you want something casual, dependable, and easy. I've been here twice now, both times there was no wait (but enough business that your not concerned lol). The staff is VERY friendly, you just need to be a little patient when speaking to them. Quick and attentive service, and the fish was decent... rolls and sashimi was cut pretty poorly. Not the best sushi I've ever had but it was good enough for what this place was! The service and cleanliness of the establishment definitely boosted their points with me.

This is my to go olace when I crave for Jaoanese food. I go for Bento boxes and whatever specials they have. Price is reasonable.

It's a small place but comfortable. The prices were fair. The service was pretty quick. The the food was mediocre. Bland at best. Even the edamame was bland.

It's been a hot minute since we've been back here and we have to say that we did not have such an enthusiastic experience with the food this time around. Genroku is still a cute lil spot and the staff is friendly, but we wouldn't necessarily rave about the dishes. The steamed dumplings tasted straight from the freezer bag and the fried ones were coming apart. The beef fried rice had odd strings of meat and the dish needed a bit more to jazz it up. The garlic chicken was too oily; green beans were fine; but the surprise hit dish of the night was the fried flounder--really good! Listen, we were out to dinner with our friends here, so it was a nice time until the kids all hit their restaurant tipping points and started to go wild. It was good times to be back at this "family favorite" but I think we'll suggest an alternate location next time we go to the Richardson Chinatown.

This place has been around and I've been a few times in my life and the food has always been subpar. Fast forward to post-pandemic where everything cost many times more but I feel like I'm getting quality food here. The $16+ sushi roll meal I had here was the most unsatisfying work lunch in a long time. I think I could have gotten more quantity and quality sushi roll for half he price at Asian super market. I think I even have the plate they served the rolls on at home. Definitely not worthy of a restaurant experience.
