More people need to know about this gem. Been here many times and the food is always wonderful. I get the Taste of Etheopia platter which has been delicious and filling every time

I recently had the chance to visit an Ethiopian restaurant and bar located at 100 Central Expy Ste 65, Richardson, TX 75080. I arrived around 12:20 AM and noticed a keyboard playing music that gave off a band-like vibe. But that’s not what prompted me to write this review.
What truly stood out was the lack of service. Despite the restaurant having only a few customers, no one approached me to take my order. I sat at a table near the balcony, clearly visible to the staff. One of the customers even pointed toward me to alert them, but still, no one came. After waiting for 10 minutes, I had no choice but to leave.
As a Habesha visiting from the DMV area for a short two-week business trip, I had hoped to enjoy a warm, welcoming experience. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. I also explored four other Habesha spots in the area, and all of them featured hookah, which made it difficult to enjoy a proper meal.
In my opinion, I wouldn’t recommend this particular establishment—or any of the Habesha restaurants I visited in the area—if you’re looking for good hospitality, a clean environment, and a non-hookah dining experience.
Nikki was very attentive and gave my friend and I a lot of information as what to order.
We went with the veggie sampler and added chicken with mild sauce.
My goodness it was exceptionally delicious. My friend ordered one to go for her lunch the following day.

Oily food, I didn't like it.
This is my favorite Ethiopian restaurant. They recently remodeled making it swankier too. Recommend the veggie combo for a good assortment.

Great and fun!
My wife and I ordered a "Taste of Ethiopia for two" the Dero wot and veggies were so cold...not heated at all. We were so disappointed and the service was so terrible. The Waitress didn't want to hear our concerns and she refused to inform the owner. Overall, the restaurant atmosphere was good but don't ever order "Taste of Ethiopia" ....you will get directly from the freezer.

First time trying Ethiopian cuisine. Was very impressed with the food, the location, and the service!
It's open, inviting, & well-kept inside; both of the waitstaff were very friendly and welcoming. I think there was also a cute outside patio area with tv & music. I was picking up food to go, though, so didn't utilize it.
Ordered Tekil Gomen (vegetables), Gomen Besega (lamb), Yebeg Wot (lamb), and Addis Abeba Tibs (beef).
We loved the jiggly teff bread (injera) and all of the dishes that we tried on a whim.
The sauces are vinegary and delicious; not too spicy, but still flavourful. The berbere sauce is so good!
Collard greens in the Gomen were fantastic; we love collards and thought the kitchen did a very good job with it.
The lamb was very tender, and sauce delicious; just be aware that small bones may still be found.
Definitely would return for more!
