Food was ok but the service was horrible I usually don’t give bad reviews but he was being so rude to me and my family we went to order at all different time and was rude to every single one of us. Half of us didn’t even finish our food. Hope his day gets better

Poor driving skills.

On 8/19 at 4:18 PM the driver of the food truck ran a red light at Midway and the 635 service road almost causing a collision.

Also it's very interesting to see that the owner only responds to highly ranked reviews, clearly not caring about the opinions of those that have some critical feedback.

Horrible service and even worse food! It is not edible. The stove and fry stations are filthy! Yuck!!

This was very nice and delicious. My apartment complex had Carl's Kitchen food truck yesterday, 5p-8pm. I got there about 6:15pm and there were three customers ahead of me. Mr. Carl was cool. I ordered, paid and got a pager. That was neat. It was not a long wait before I got zapped. The food was hot and fresh. Excellent seasoning on the burger and the fries.

I did not give it 5 stars only because of presentation. My apartment graciously comped my meal (first 25 residents got tickets) however for the price point advertised i would hope a bit more effort in making it aesthetically pleasing. I don't mind spending $20+ for a gourmet burger and fries but please make it pretty.

Had the pleasure of trying this food truck out at my work and got a burger and it was 10/10

I normally don't give reviews to my customers but wow!!! I was under Carl's kitchen working on a broke part and all I/we could smell was greatness!!! When we finished Carl offered us some barbecue sandwiches and my lord I swear it was the best barbecue we had, maybe ever. Carl's kitchen has it going on. First thank you for your service, second Thank you for your food and third Thanks for hospitality. You just don't meet ppl anymore that has good qualities but Carl does!!! Keep on keeping on.

Got the catfish and it took a little bit so the chef gave me a free piece. Great service and great food

Really bad quesadilla and so expensive. I'm genuinely so upset at how much i paid for this quesadilla and the quality, I was very hungry so i ate half of it, i tried to pretend it was okay but after eating half i had to stop, Tortilla tasted like it was covered in grill brick dust, chicken was fine, there was almost no cheese in the quesadilla and the bits of cheese i could find were not even close to be melted. The salsa is just store bought Pace-like salsa. Did not come with sour cream but instead a spicy aoli sauce which is fine but not what was advertised. And it was $18 something after a 15% tip.
Honestly insulted to be served this after paying almost 20 dollars.

Just ordered the nachos and they were VERY burnt!!!!

Terrible communication pre-event. We were so concerned, we had to make a back-up plan. He skirted questions about Menus and prices. He did show up!
Truck side meeting before the event led to a kid and adult price and menu.
It took over 3 hours to get food for our 60ish people. We used tickets, 1 for our coordinators and 1 for him.
We paid him the agreed upon bill at the end of the very long night. Right infront of my house he said we were square.
And now we are getting emails that he wants additional $. We ask him what the outstanding bill is for and he's playing games. The event was 2 months ago!

The food is delicious and the customer service was very sweet. Food only took about 5 minutes.

First glance I walked by Carl's food truck in front of Cidercade, not really wanting anything to eat but as I got hungry and his food smelling good, I gave it a try. THE BEST FISH AND FRIES IVE HAD IN A WHILE!!!!! Reasonable priced, not a long wait time, and a great portion of food plus Carl is a wonderful guy! He also blessed my friend's birthday with a slice of cheesecake and told her happy birthday. "The shrimp is so good I want some more!" is what my wife said we both enjoyed our meal. Would highly recommend to any/everyone who comes across his truck

Ordered from his food truck at subiefest. Under normal circumstances, I'm sure the food is usually good. Today they were extremely overwhelmed. I didn't time how long it took to get the food, but it was atleast 25-30 minutes along with 10-15 others waiting and a line of 50+ wanting to order.

That being said: I ordered the jerk chicken and rice. My son order the wings, I think lemon pepper or something. My chicken was raw, both leg quarters. I knew as soon as I tried folding the leg and thigh. The flavor was OK, I like spicy stuff and it didn't disappoint. There was amazing heat. I ate a few pieces that were done to taste it, it was ok....the rice was good. For almost $15. Not impressed. My sons wings were good on the initial drumlet. It was battered with cornmeal, about what the catfish would be battered in. The wing on the other hand, tasted like the oil was getting bad already. And that plate was almost $17. I wish it was under less stressful circumstances, I'm sure the food is good. But today wasn't it.

I did not mention this to them at the time, they were just overwhelmed with orders and doing their best to keep up. It would have just taken too long to ask for a refund or order something else.

Carl, if you read this. No hard feelings man. Maybe get your cook to check temps or teach them about the bend test which never fails on chicken leg quarters. Or when doing the food truck consider wings for the jerk chicken. Just a suggestion buddy. They really needed more food trucks out there to help the only few that were there. Good luck on future cooks.

Carl's Kitchen is at The Heights in Arlington today. I had reservations at first, but he is so confident about his food, and once I ate it, I understood why. If you get the opportunity, try it.
