Great spot! So glad we stopped by!!! Some Highlights - great service, large seating area, easy parking, really nice atmosphere for conversing/studying, great place to pick up small gifts for people, and very tasty latte :)! My family and I are just passing through and stopped by. We were hoping to find a few cute unique gift/souvenir and this place had some really great options for all ages :). Service was great! When I asked the barista about what they had batch brewed he said he wasn't sure how old it was ( I appreciate his honesty for sure - helped me decide on ordering a latte instead :) - but I definitely started to lower my expectations). I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted my latte and it was DELICIOUS- seriously sooooooooo tasty. Such a treat to taste a latte like that. My husband didn't love the matcha - I think we were expecting it to be sweet already and to have more matcha flavor - but that's probably more on us to ask more info about it before ordering :). Service was prompt - especially considering it was all just one guy working behind the counter - he was really working hard. All in all I would recommend this place! Stop by for sure!!

This was a great venue! My fiancée and I had our engagement party here! We had a pleasant experience. There was more than enough space to host our family and friends of about 30 people. Kortni displayed great communication and was very helpful during the event. Highly recommend. 5 stars!

super cute place but yelp photos are super confusing!! did my research though and want to explain for future comers - this place is not 2 stories, not a restaurant, and not an open office space to those without the membership. it is a quaint, adorable coffee shop with great employees and everyone working here is respectful of others' space. outdoor and indoor seating and insulated cups (helpful if working outside w a breeze)! seating is unique and keeps your eyes stimulated. owners response to the last review w confusion + the misleading website/yelp/google is the only reason why i didn't do 5/5. hope this helps future customers!!!

I helped host a shower in the smaller venue on 3/2/24. I arrived 40 minutes before the 10:00 contract time to start blowing up balloon arch. I asked permission to enter early. It happened that the owner's brother was parked near me and he and I stood at the coffee window for a while to ask permission from the manager who said it would be fine. The venue space is attractive, but the place was not clean. The food prep area behind the bar was sticky and the floor was so dirty that we had to put balloons on chairs as we blew them up so as not to collect dust and dirt on them. We borrowed a broom to sweep the place ourselves. When I asked the event manager if a clean up crew was supposed to prepare the place, she said that she arrives 30 minutes early to clean. So I handed her the broom at that time. She will likely respond that because we arrived early, she couldn't do her job. However, we had swept just fine with the few people there setting up. The rest of the time she sat in the neighboring space on her phone. Because I got in earlier than the contract arrival time, the events manager kept my co-host's security deposit. The contract was for 5 hours. We were out of the space at 2:00 PM, 4 hours and 40 minutes. In addition, Communion had a sign up outside that said that the restroom was in our rented space so we had complete strangers walking through a bridal brunch shower throughout our event. I do not recommend this space for private parties. In response to the comment below about using the commercial kitchen. We got ice to put in a water dispenser and the champagne bucket - less than $10 worth of ice - from your ice machine on site. We did not cook or prepare any food in your kitchen. The entire place is called Communion Neighborhood Cooperative, including the coffee shop which is the only place to find staff. Perhaps you should train the employees in that part of your business to say no to requests to enter early and use ice, just like you should train customers to not use the restroom and walk through a private party. The cost of the space was $325 + $100 unrefunded security deposit = $425. Not $250 has you stated below. The person that went to get ice in the kitchen DOES have her food handling license. We can provide since that was one of your concerns about us entering your open kitchen space, owner Amy. There were no working sinks in the bar area where we prepped our buffet dishes nor paper in paper dispenser nor soap in the bathrooms. And the bathroom lights were not working. It's so sad that a business in the Lockwood district is so poorly run. It's a bad reflection on our great city and its leaders who approved the redevelopment.

Great concept but not layout is a little confusing and I was overwhelmed when I walked in. Staff is nice and helpful. Not my usual spot but it was nice it was near the location I needed to be after. If you are a regular coffee drinker, I don’t recommend the slush. I was curious but didn’t cover my coffee needs. Taste great! I’m sure the regular coffee does too.

We came here for a work meeting. The place is cute, but small. The tables are always full. I had the peach, peony tea, I recommended, as it was very good.

Should update your website and Google pages stating that the cafe part is closed and the only thing you offer food wise is breakfast tacos but maybe this review will help some people who aren't locals. and it's not what we drove all the way for and sorry I'm not a local and didn't know. Also, I didn't mean to put 2 stars before because the coffee, muffin, atmosphere and staff was all nice. The 2 star review was just for the food and a reflection of our experience.

Really nice concept for the co-working space however there is a fee / subscription you’ll have to pay to enter the big lounge as advertised. The actual coffee shop and free area to dine is quite small. Seats weren’t as comfortable as expected and the outlet plug in spots were limited. Staff was friendly, welcoming and their coffee was good though.

My favorite coffee shop when I lived in Richardson. The staff was always super friendly and the atmosphere was always perfect to hang around or get some work done while I enjoyed my coffee. Looking forward to coming back if I’m ever back in town.

The place isn’t bad, it’s just that it’s only good for a select group of people. I came here with my professor and classmates and we were locked out of the building for a while and had to walk around the building just to get in. Our private room didn’t have enough seats. Also, no coffee alternatives for non-coffee drinks. Had an ice tea and it wasn’t the best.
