A local institution, passed from the parents to the current family owners/operators. Killer bakery with fresh and tasty pastries, breads and cakes for all occasions and sizes; very creative bakers and designers. The restaurant is favored by all ethnicity and they offer Autumn Moon cakes in the Fall.

The best soup dumplings and noodles in DFW! Crab and Pork juicy dumplings are 🤤! Highly recommend their teas as well. Even the American-Chinese dishes (Orange Chicken, etc.) are far and way above your Panda Express.

I am writing to share feedback regarding our recent visit during Lunar New Year, which unfortunately left us disappointed due to the service we received from the hostess.
Our group came in to celebrate with friends and politely requested to be seated near one another. Despite the restaurant not being at full capacity at the time, the hostess made no attempt to accommodate this simple request. Her demeanor came across as dismissive and unhelpful, which set an uncomfortable tone from the very beginning of what was meant to be a joyful occasion.During the meal, the experience continued to feel rushed. While we were still eating, the hostess approached our table to collect the menus. We had specifically asked to keep one, as we intended to order additional items later. This request was disregarded. For an establishment of your size and reputation, the first impression made by your hostess is incredibly important. Unfortunately, this interaction detracted significantly from our celebration and overall dining experience.I share this feedback with the hope that it will be taken constructively. Retraining or reinforcing expectations for your hosting staff could help ensure that future guests are welcomed with the attentiveness and professionalism that reflect the quality of your restaurant.

Had some excellent Chinese food here. I really liked the atmosphere and the staff were very friendly. We went for Valentine's day before seeing a Valentine's ballet.

We go there about twice a year. Today, the service and food were excellent. We ordered jasmine tea, soup dumplings, spicy Dan Dan noodles, egg drop soup and new year special lobster. The server was busy but he made a perfect jasmine tea and even gave us to go cups. We had leftover and he packed it nicely for us. This was the best service we had at the Jeng Chi.
By the way, the portion of egg drop soup is larger than you think… you can feed 4 people with Medium size.

Good food, good people, good prices, well-maintained property, what more can you ask for? I’m terrible with names, but the server with the red glasses was great! Attentive, quick, efficient, and definitely enjoyed his job, which is always a good sign for a business. We had the deviled eggs that were on special, braised pork belly, spicy juicy dumplings, smashed cucumber salad, and mango Panna cotta. Got out for around 65 after tip, and it definitely would’ve fed four adults, we had so much left. We’ve been all over the country, and eaten many places, and while not ā€œthe best place I’ve ever eatenā€, if I lived here, I would be here weekly.

Went on the Chinese New Year Eve and it's pretty packed. However managed to get a slot for two almost after a wait for 40min. I highly recommend booking in advance though.
Finally it's worth the wait. Food was amazing - tasty, quick, and a lot of options.

Jeng Chi is one of my absolute favorites. The dumplings are, of course, amazing. Don't sleep on some other stellar menu items. The following are one-of-a-kind and out of this world: Spicy Wontons (not at all spicy btw), Spicy Dan Dan Noodles, Scallion Pancakes, and the SURPRISE HIT: Kung Pao Tofu. You wont' be disappointed by any of these options.

Came here with large family on a cold winter day . Location was easy to find . Lots of people . They don't sit you down not until all guests are present . Hostess not very friendly. They have lazy Suzy table and we ordered a lot of dishes. Presentation was attractive . Dishes are Taiwanese based . Sauces for most have sugar. SautƩed Leafy greens have fantastic green colors . We had water for drink s. A little bit pricey place . Taste wise nothing special .
