Dumplings are pretty wonderful here

We’ve been coming here constantly for years. The food is always tasty and hot. The staff is never exceptional but they are okay. Great spot to try, especially if you enjoy soup dumplings.

The best soup dumplings and chicken kung pao in Dallas

I had the small juicy dumplings and the fiery dumplings. The fiery ones were okayish but the small juicy dumplings were fantastic and i would go back here just for those!!!

Overall pretty good. Got the Mongolian Beef and bell pepper beef. The Mongolians beef felt more like Mongolian onions 🧅 than beef . I think the dumplings are very popular here and should be tried. The service isn’t the best here.

Haven’t been to Jeng Chi in close to a decade and decided to bring my family here for Mother’s day. Ordered soup dumplings and most of them barely had any soup in them, it seemed to have all leaked out during the steaming process. We ordered the combination FRIED noodles but were given BOILED noodles. Nothing about it was remotely close to stir-fried, and it was as bland as it looked. Am I misunderstanding something? Who in the right mind named this dish “FRIED NOODLES”? I demand to know where the FIRE element came from or it utterly implied the fire that was used to boil the water? I’ve been living on this earth for several decades and had hundreds of stir fried noodles if not thousands, I wouldn’t call myself a noodle connoisseur but I think I could tell what stir fried noodles should taste and look like. For example, the chicken should not be as pale as my ghostly white-unexposed to sun since the pandemic-office worker legs, and there was absolutely no seasoning besides maybe a pinch of salt. There was so much more I wanted to say because I was just so baffled by what I had eaten today and what it wad supposed to be.

Our server rarely came by and acted annoyed when I asked for things, like an extra plate because she only gave us four for five people or a fork because I dropped mine. After waited a long time for our sever to come by, I finally caught her attention and asked for the check, to which she said she could take care of it at the table right then. I looked down to grab my wallet which took less than two seconds and she was gone when I looked up with my card in hand. I was so baffled as to why she decided to walk away mid-task to take orders at another table. Was it because we had finished eating and were on our way out, so any additional service was deemed unnecessary?

After the meal, I finally realized why I hadn’t come back in so long and this time was my last.

Very disappointed experience yesterday here!!! After attending a funeral at Restland and it's lunch time, we and a few friends who we haven't seen for a while, decided to have lunch together at Jengchi since it's nearby. My wife has hypoglycemia and ate a chocolate candy while waiting for the food. Those who ate at Jengchi before should know the waiting could be very long. Then later, a lady saw the candy wrapper we left in a plate (I think she may be the owner) came saying no external food allowed in a very rude manner, even after we explained the situation. This restaurant was one of our favorite restaurant. But I think we will never be there again. Good luck!

Terrible service —not just once or twice, but consistently bad. The place has plenty of staff, but none of them seemed motivated. I probably won’t be coming back.
On a positive note, the restroom is clean.

We ordered takeout and were disappointed in the fried rice and chicken we got. The crab rangoon was excellent.

Food and service is good but auto 25% tip is not cool. My bill was $280 for 6 people. I thought an auto $75 tip was excessive

This is not your average Chinese food, the quality is way above the norm. We got Kung pao chicken and chicken with garlic sauce, both were unique in flavor and delicious.
The dumplings were some of the best I've ever had, pork and shrimp and bursting with flavor. Highly recommend, hard not to get something good here.

The dumplings are FANTASTIC, especially the crab and pork soup dumplings. Cocktails are also delicious. You can also buy the dumplings frozen from inside the restaurant to take home too. Great for when you don't live in the area and are craving excellent food.

My one (super minor) complaint is service was a bit slow due to them being short staffed.

The soup dumplings are made on site, and it's a fun process to watch. Kinda like watching Kleber elves in a tree make cookies, customers can watch as these artists create soup dumplings before your very eyes. Ms. Ming delivers friendly, professional and 5 star service. She always patient and about to make stellar suggestions. I love the shrimp fried noodles, which have hand made noodles. Yum!! The salt and pepper shrimp is possibly the best shrimp I've ever eaten in my life, perfect light batter and succulent fresh shrimp.
