Fantastic place to grab some noodles! I had the spicy tonkotsu and the broth was thick, creamy and delicious! Plus, the service was speedy and the food isn't expensive, especially for the quality.Instead of stopping at McDonald's, definitely give this place a try!
ramen is very delicious . hot sake good. however, the shrimp shamai is 5 small pieces for $4.50 i think that’s expensive. you should give 6-8 for that price or lower the price to $3.50
The takoyaki is so bomb. It comes out in the skillet and is the best I’ve ever had. The ramen came out kinda weirdly. I got the Tsukemen ramen. The soup was on the side but maybe that’s just because I’m not used to it this way. The flavor was very good but not spicy at all. My only complaint was that there wasn’t enough broth. The noodles are amazing and felt freshly made. They were the perfect chewiness. The karaage wasn’t really worth it because there were only like 6 little pieces. Service was great and everyone was very kind. Make sure u get the extra round of noodles for only $1.50. They gave me a very big bowl!
Great ramen place with rich flavors. The decor was also cute and the ambiance was casual but still felt nice. We had the takoyaki to start off which was piping hot but crispy and delicious. The noodles itself was tasty, it was chewy and absorbed the broth well. It’s a affordable place with lots to offer.
Was in the area and had this place on my list of places to try. The service was great, even though I believe the servers were not native speakers they did very well communicating in Japanese. One thing I really liked about this place is the ask you if you want your noodles regular, semi hard, like al dente or hard. I've been to a lot of ramen places in America that by the time you get your ramen the noodles are already near soggy.I wouldn't travel just to eat at this place but if you are it's worth giving a try.
Today was my first time visiting the restaurant. We wanted something different and we found it at Monta Ramen. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was inviting. The staff was execellent. We didn't have to wait to be seated. Since this was our first time, the waiter kindly explained the menu items. I will become a frequent visitor. My out-of-town guest love it and she is 11 years old.
Definitely looking forward to going here regularly and trying all the different toppings. I got Tokatsu with pork and bean sprouts. It was the first time I've had creamy broth, and it was so delicious. Everything tasted really fresh, and it was filling and satisfying!
Used to work in Vegas with a bunch of other people from Hawai’i and Monta was where we got our ramen fix. It’s the closest thing to places back home, and in Japan. They are one of the few traditional Japanese ramen spots in Dallas that cook down pork bones and make everything from scratch. Super stoked to have Monta here! They also have a relationship to Izakaya Mr. Max, and supposedly they are going to expand to an izakaya menu! Also add their fried rice and fried chicken to your ramen as a combo! Such a great value and super worth it!
First time having black garlic broth. This place gave me a great first black garlic experience. Lights are dim, making the eating experience so much more calming. Do wish they have more variety of ramen BUT Would visit again. Great place
Excellent dinner at Monta Ramen! Lovely cozy, calm but lively atmosphere. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The vegetarian broth was light and not overly salty, with plenty of greens, tasty tofu and flavorful vegetables.I asked for an egg in it, and it was just perfect.Spicy edamame appetizer was scrumptious!

One of the best tsukemen I ever had! The broth is very thick, full of Umami, and noodle texture match with the broth so well. Staffs are very friendly too. Will come back!
Went here for lunch and it wasn't bad. I got the Spicy Tonkatsu and added corn, fresh garlic, black garlic oil and extra spice. Everything was an upcharge. At first bite the ramen was really good. Lots of flavor! The chasu is paper thin and the ramen only comes with one piece. However, the longer I ate it the thicker it got and it just started tasting greasy. I'm glad I was able to try it but I'm ok if I don't return.
Great Ramen place. Good atmosphere, chill music, great selection of Ramen, and sides. Many toppings you can add to your Ramen and decent drink menu.
Went for the black garlic ramen. Hard to find places that serve that here. Wasn't bad, but it's black garlic oil not actual black garlic. The menu does say that, so I got exactly what I ordered.
Cute humble location that boasts one of the best authentic Japanese ramen experiences in DFW (quite close to Ramen Akira if you like that style). The menu is simple, straightforward, and has a good amount of customization. They do have a few rice dishes as well as two types of Tsukemen. If you're coming here for the first time, the Tonkotsu is a great staple to pave the way into ramen.Personal fav - Tonkotsu Shoyu. Great balance of the rich pork with the sharpness of soy sauce. I'm a huge fan. I also add an extra ajitama and cut of butter. I also like the tako wasabi here, which is a separate small dish.Side note - Always opt in for the thin noodles. Monta is the only location in DFW that can get my bari kata noodles to the level I want (most places still overcook it).Overall great place! Will RTE.
