Arrived at about 5:20 pm on a Monday. There were no other customers inside. There’s pictures of the entrees on the wall so you know what you’re getting and the lady behind the counter was very nice. I got Mongolian beef, it’s delicious and comes w fried rice. I also got egg rolls, crab wontons, and egg drop soup. All delicious, I wasn’t expecting veggies in the egg drop soup but I’m not complaining

I’ve been eating at Oriental Express in Richardson for over 20 years, and it’s still my favorite spot for Chinese food. The broccoli chicken is my go-to—always made with tender chicken, crisp broccoli, and that same delicious sauce I’ve loved for decades. One thing that sets this place apart is how the food is always cooked fresh in the wok, right in front of you. You can literally hear it sizzling as they prepare your order, and it makes all the difference in taste and quality. Whether I’m dining in, picking up a to-go order, or having it delivered through DoorDash, the food is consistently hot, fresh, and full of flavor. After all these years, Oriental Express still feels like a hidden gem that never lets me down. This is a no-frills dinning experience, don't judge a book by its cover on this one, the same family has been running it for as long as I can remember.

I first ate lunch here with my Raytheon co-workers. It became a favorite for good authentic Chinese food. That was back in 1988. Their Szechuan Beef was to die for. Now retired and moved up north near family. Still have not found a chinese place up here that compares. It may have declined over the many years, but it's worth a visit for good authentic Chinese food.

I've been coming here for many years. The food is good and plentiful. It is perfect for lunch to go, and the prices are right.

I used to come here with my dad when I was a kid, maybe 15-20 years ago. Stopped back in last week to see if it was how I remembered. The place has definitely seen better days.
The restaurant was dim and empty, there were dirty dishes in the corner booth, and the same old fish tank looked like it needs a cleaning.
We ordered combination lo mien and spicy fried chicken. The lo mien was mostly just noodles, not a whole lot of meat or veg in it. The chicken was OK, and was definitely the better choice between the two entrees. Egg drop soup was the same as it always was. Both the table and the plates felt dirty.
It was sad to see this place in decay. I think it's only a matter of time until they close, but I think it's a mom and pop operation and they'll hold on for as long as they can.
I have fond memories but I don't think I'll be back.

No seasoning in food.
Extreme upcharge pricing.
Dirty atmosphere.
Wontons were actually tortilla chips.

Food is mid. Pictures shown are not what the actual food looks like in some cases. Pork fried rice isn’t even roast pork. Why would you eat here ever is the question I kept asking myself. White rice is just straight up bad. The white rice. How do you mess up white rice?

The staff was super nice however the crab puffs don't. Have any crab in them I don't understand why all the Asian eateries are lying and labeling their food crab puffs or crab wontons but no crab is in them .just woke the truth or call them something else. And specify if it doesn't have crab in. It because you know that's how it's always been geesh!

Flavor was good. I got food through grub hub. Sweet and sour chicken and lemon chicken. I had two dinners and one box of rice so leftovers are out of the question. My husband had lemon chicken, he took a bite of what he thought was cabbage and it was soggy lettuce....we always get food here and I'm not sure what happened. My sweet and sour didn't have pineapple and bell peppers but carrots...kind of feel like I got cheated.
