Loved this place! Was worried with the reviews and had some hesitation because of other seafood resurtants that had similar cultures, but this was nothing like our expectations and absolutely blew us away with the taste and friendliness of the staff!! Would highly recommend to anyone who likes seafood and a good drink!

EXCELLENT!!!!! My wife and I went here two days in a row, and both times, the food was top-tier. PALAPAS is truly an authentic Mexican restaurant that brings the shoreline experience of the finest Sinaloan cuisine one can ever hope to have. The owner/manager was amiable and attentive. We attempted to visit two other restaurants, and neither of them measured up in service, cuisine, or atmosphere. I have found a piece of Sinaloa in the heart of Texas.

I get it they're having staff issues we were patient while there. I was annoyed with a party of 2 that was there they saw how short staffed it was and kept calling the server over for little things like you couldn't ask them for everything that you needed all at once. Over all the food was good I had to have mine modified since it was lacking ingredients(they were out) I always come back it's always a different experience

I genuinely have zero clue how there are any 1 stars for this establishment. Food, service, and environment/atmosphere have been on point every time I've been here for the past couple years. I go once every 1-2 months give or take. Awesome staff and food 10/10.I recommend sitting at bar area as you can watch them shuck the oysters and make other dishes as well.

Yes!!! I definitely recommend this awesome place. Ive come here with my coworkers and family. Everyone loves it. Mojarras and charro beans are the best. The cocktail is just on point, not just tomato sauce. The staff and owner gave us a 5 star service. They have live music on Saturdays. The atmosphere is a yes for me! People, be patience with the wait, do you prefer your meal to be done well or do you want your meal just whatever because you can’t wait 10 mints more. Rate the food and the people not the wait. Good things take time!!

I so wanted this place to be good. Sadly my meal was served cold so flavor was muted. I believe if it had been hot or at least warm the flavor would have been amazing. Only one girl was serving so the wait was awful. We were not in a hurry so decided to wait it out. We watched several parties come in, sit, be ignored and leave. Never even got offered menus. So much money walking out the door. We sort of entertained ourselves betting on how long they would sit and wait before ultimately deciding to leave. Very negative experience, so won't plan to come back sadly.

This is our 2nd time here. Food was OK for the price. Portion got smaller and price increased. As expected with inflation. We sat outside in the patio and received no service. Our food was dropped off and that's the last time we saw anyone. Had to go inside and requested more
Do not listen to the bad reviews about this place. All the seafood is extremely fresh never frozen. I had the fried snapper with the garlic sauce and it blows any other fried snapper I've had in DFW out of the water. I spoke to the chef/owner and he is a very nice guy who cares a lot about his restaurant. Go support my man and his delicious food, you wont be disappointed.

The food was pretty good. I just felt that it was a bit high in price. The rice was served a little poor, and the automatic 18% tip with 5 or more people was a bit much, but other than that, it had no other big issues.

This resturant was the best. I live in FL where we get fresh seafood daily and have never had the experience or food that I had at Palapas. The Mahi and guacamole were amazing seasoned to perfection and served with an excellent fresh fruit and cheese salad.The owner came out to greet us and have conversation. I wanted a guacamole to go and he made sure it was in an airtight container so the Avocado wouldn't turn brown.

Ordered the meat grill meal and it was great. Shrimp was cooked to perfection as well as the chicken and fajita. The rice could’ve been better but the experience was great! Was attended to almost immediately and food was served in a reasonable amount of time. Great experience and highly recommend! Such an underrated GEM of a place!
