My experience was nothing special. I went on a Sunday evening. It's more of a Bar place. Not a restaurant. I was caught off guard once I stepped in. There was mens playing pool. I couldn't tell who was an employee or not. After awkwardly standing there at the bar counter for a few minutes, someone finally approaches and serviced me. I ordered something for $14 to take out. Handed her a $20 bill. She just said thank you, walked off and never returned with my change....
The food at this restaurant is outstanding!It’s a wonderful atmosphere and they really care about giving you a cultural experience from the ambiance/music to the traditional coffee ceremony.The employees are so kind and offered great recommendations.I highly recommend shawley if you enjoy traditional Eritrean/Ethiopian food or if you’re looking for delicious vegetarian/vegan options
