Best Indian food in DFW. It’s the perfect hole in the wall, mom and papa restaurant that serves authentic spicy Indian food. It’s the real deal.

If you're craving a hearty, flavorful biryani, Spice & Rice goat biryani is an absolute must-try. The dish arrived steaming hot, with tender goat meat perfectly nestled within a bed of aromatic, golden-hued rice. The rice was fluffy, yet richly flavored with a blend of spices that balanced heat and warmth—cumin, coriander, and a hint of saffron.
The goat meat was cooked to perfection—falling off the bone with each forkful. It had absorbed the spices wonderfully, with each bite offering a deep, savory richness. What stood out the most was the delicate balance of flavors; the dish wasn’t overly spicy, allowing the natural taste of the goat to shine through without being overshadowed.
Accompanying the biryani was a small salad of cucumbers & lettuce which added a nice touch of freshness.
The portion was generous, making it great value for the price. The service was prompt.
Overall, Spice & Rice delivers one of the best goat biryanis in town. It’s rich in flavor, perfectly balanced, and leaves you craving more. Highly recommended for any biryani lover!

Not smoking free. Saw someone smoking inside the restaurant, which I did not like.
Their Mezbani Beef with Khichuri was very tasty.
But I did not like their Beef Tehari that much. Overall the food is okay but they should improve the atmosphere.

Stay far away if you don’t want a week of severe food poisoning from days old, rotten, unhygienic, microwaved food with bits of metal and plastic in it. The owner does not take responsibility rand is hostile.
Ordered over hundred dollars worth of food- a complete waste! Had to throw it all! Food was horrible. Beef Tehari and Kachchi Biryani were disgusting rotten. Both were the exact same thing and were literally just boiled rice mixed in with separately boiled beef. Even store bought frozen section Americanized biryani is a thousand times better. It got its popularity in the beginning when the owner used to cook. But now he mostly employs random people to cook who have zero knowledge of cooking or food safety. The rare days when the chef cooks (you can never know when he will) the taste is good but you will still get an upset stomach as food safety temperatures and hygienic practices are not maintained. It’s sad that once a place gets popular, owners get complacent and let the place go straight downhill. The food safety issues are very serious - a lawsuit waiting to happen!
Only positive is the girl at the counter was pleasant.

Not worth the price. Chicken curry was full of bones and barely had any good pieces.

Worst place ever to dine in. Goat biriyani is overcooked without any spices. Goat in goat biriyani is dry as wood and smells rotten. Nearly vomited in the first bite. Butter chicken is raw and a couple of bandages and medicine can make the chicken alive again. I paid 50$ for the rotten food. only edible item they serve is water

I stopped in to grab a menu and couldn't pass up the vegetable samosa that was at the counter. The samosa was good but it was spicier than I would have liked. I wouldn't mind going back and trying some

Restaurantji Recommends
This should be rated higher than it is. Authentic Bangladeshi food, and super tasty (at least the shrimp and goat curries). Even the rice is super flavorful. A sleeper hit, highly recommend.
Can’t speak to service since we did takeout, but they seemed very nice.

Absolutely disgusting behavior from the owner. Was going to make a catering order for the half tray of chicken roast. The catering menu on their website (I've included a screenshot) states that the half tray would include 30 pieces. I called to make the order, and when I asked to make sure that it would be 30 pieces, the owner picked up the phone and stated that the half tray could only fit 20 pieces. I was still willing to only take 20 pieces, but when I told him that the website has the wrong number of pieces listed, the owner began insulting me. We were speaking in Bangla, as we are both Bangladeshi, and the owner began yelling me, "you must not understand Bangla, go get food from somewhere else." There was absolutely no reason for him to treat me or any customer that way. I was still willing to order the amount of food they were offering, and was simply letting him know that the information on his own website was inaccurate, and instead of taking any responsibility of his own, he decided to act hostile and even telling me to do business elsewhere.
I don’t really mind this restaurant. The food is really good, but the atmosphere of the restaurant is not it. When you first walk into the restaurant it already DOES NOT look clean, the grout looks extremely dirty, the tables are losing color, and the curtains look like they came straight out of a little girls bedroom. And oh. My. Gosh, don’t even get me started on the paint on the walls, the colors are just not it. The aesthetic just doesn’t make sense they literally put American flags everywhere, I thought this was supposed to be a south Asian restaurant? So quit putting American flags everywhere. Long story short this restaurant is really disgusting and not at all clean.

I ordered samosa chaat and chicken kebab roll - it was disgustinggg. The chaat literally had tomato ketchup and no yogurt. The roll was cold with no flavor to it. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who wants to have good food and enjoy their meal……….
