I'm a little disappointed. Brisket was tough. Pulled pork had a huge amount of fat in it. I'm not afraid of fat by any means but this was a bit much. House sausage was just ok. One bright spot, their sauces are great. Prices seemed reasonable to me too. This place gets generally good reviews, so maybe it was just an off night?
We had, Tri tip Sandwich and fries, half chicken, and corn on the cob, And I wanted greens but it had pork. I dont eat pork. Key lime pie WAS AMAZING! I NEED THE WHOLE PIE!!! Being a Chef for a long period,Cooked Meats or not I just Suggest Using a different Knife for Poultry.! Thank you.
I’m not saying it’s the best that money can buy, but it’s incredibly consistent, no-nonsense TX barbecue and you don’t have to show up hours before opening or stand in line all afternoon to get it. The sauce is good and there are no overpriced, gimmicky sides. All the meats are high-quality. I like the chicken and the ribs best, but the brisket is very solid and makes for a reasonably priced lunch alongside their excellent vinegar slaw with some pickles and a roll. It’s...
