First things they don’t know English, second thing, their spicy chicken is a not spicy chicken, it’s a sweet chicken. Also, they are showing what are going to put it on your platter I think it’s a worst place to go

Employees are so rude and unprofessional, THE WORKER WAS VAPING WHILE WORKING!!! one of the three ladies working literally waved the bag at me to grab my food instead of calling me, i said thank u multiple times not once did she respond with anything nice. I called this place to speak with someone, but the person who answered was extremely rude. To make matters worse, the phone line seems to be connected to a fax machine. The person spoke to me in a condescending manner, as if they were a king, and didn’t understand English at all. The meals I ordered but I was very surprised as I’ve never experienced anything like this before. The regular beef gyro platter they sent was not beef gyro; it looked like ground meat. I think they may have sent me the last portion of the batch. I’ve ordered in the past 6-7 times, and it was never like this, so I’m really surprised now. Don’t waste your money to order food from this place.

Ordered delivery since the place I'm staying is 5 minutes away. Put in an order for a falafel gyro and a lemonade at 9:30, was given an estimated delivery of 10. Okay.
20 minutes later I check back for updates, only to see it still shows that the meal is being prepared, and now my time has been pushed back to 10:30; they havent even pinged for the delivery driver yet. Seems like a long time for a sandwich and a drink, but I figured maybe they're busy.
After getting the order, I honestly think the food was made shortly after the order came in, and was set aside and forgotten until they remembered and pinged the delivery person to come get it. The sandwich was room temp, and the ice in my drink was almost completely melted, even though it's only 45° today, and like I mentioned earlier, I'm 5 minutes from the store. And tbh, I think I got the crumbles from the bottom of the falafel tray, since they were all broken up into really small peices and really dry, with only one that could be recognized as possibly a whole falafel. I get stuff happens, but I would hope if someone's food got forgotten about and cold it'd at least be reheated before being handed off, if not remade. I was really excited to eat here again since the last time I went to this chain it was really good, but one cold gyro and an hour later, I'm just disappointed.
My buddy hyped it pretty hard and I didn't see what he was talking about.

I have always enjoyed dining at The Halal Guys, especially the Austin, Texas location, I frequented this location often due to its proximity to UTD. The food, as always, was full of flavor—my mixed regular plate with falafel was delicious, and the hot sauce packed an impressive punch. The store was clean and well-maintained, which added to the experience. However, today’s visit left room for improvement. While the flavors were excellent, the portion sizes for the price felt underwhelming. Additionally, staff training in food handling could significantly enhance the overall experience. Looking forward to seeing these improvements on my next visit!

I recently visited Halal Guys and left extremely disappointed by their customer service. I ordered three regular meals and wings and tipped 15%, but when I asked for a red sauce sachet that was part of the meals I paid for (but hadn’t taken initially), I was told I’d need to pay for it. To clarify, I wasn’t asking for anything extra—I was simply asking for something that was already included in my order but hadn’t been given to me at the time.
The fact that they refused such a simple request, especially after spending a good amount on food, was frustrating. What really upset me, though, was the dismissive attitude of the staff when I pointed out that this should have been part of my order. Small courtesies like this go a long way in customer service, and their unwillingness to accommodate was disappointing. I will not be returning after this experience.

I hate to rate Halal guys 2 stars but the Eyelashes lady (I don’t know her name) on Friday 11/1 was unprofessional and rude . for no reason that I’m aware of.
She was whispering almost every single word and I had to ask her to repeat or just let it go.
I asked for restroom’s code she kept whispering 3 right 3 left or 3 left 3 right I tried both it didn’t work. Ended up not using it
I asked for hot sauce to go in bag she wouldn’t give me she said she already put two lines in the plate which made my plate too spicy.
