place feels really worn out and honestly seems to have run its course as a restaursnt. food just doesnt taste even remotely fresh. nothing has any flavor to it. chicken and dumplings were gross too. used to be normal. now its like pieces of bread chopped up and mixed into this pudding like goop. exact same consistency. never seen it made like that ever.

They changed the chicken enchilada special. It used to be so tasty. Now they are plain with no sauce on the enchilada. So disappointing. We used to go 2 times a week when they had the special. I wonder how the stacked beef enchiladas will be? These are not a favorite anymore.

My wife and I used to eat here on our lunch breaks when we first met at work. Years later we finally made it back, and the food is just as good! The entree was the chicken and dumplings and our dessert was the coconut cream pie. The food and service did not disappoint.

Blindsided by a waiter rushing too fast with a loaded metal tray. Got a lump on my forehead was covered in food. No apology. Instead, the manager told me it was my fault and there might be legal action. When I asked a witness if it was actually my fault, he roared with laughter; no, entirely the restaurant’s. Entirely. I later called the owner. He said it was “an accident” and “no one’s fault.” And again, no apology. Look, mistakes happen. I would never dream of suing over this. But I also can’t countenance people who wrongly try to guilt me and can’t even say “sorry” when this happens to a customer. Management holds its patrons in contempt.
Had a delicious meal at the Thanksgiving buffet! Great food, great atmosphere and AMAZING service! Definitely the friendliest people in the restaurant industry working here! Can't wait to come back!

Rene is the best, if you are lucky enough to have her wait your table. Love the menu selections and the food was fabulous.

Good food at a good price. They brought back the familiar side dishes and added some more. Chicken fried steak, string beans and potatoe were perfect. My wife enjoyed the mushroom burger for the first time and enjoyed it totally.

1st visit ever. Just ordered the Tortilla soup at lunch for take out. Worst I've ever had, its horribly salty. It has great tone but the overload salt made me throw it away.
The cherry cobbler is good though.

This restaurant is a Richardson treasure, but things have changed over the last few years.
When I walked in at 3pm it smelled like a sewer. Sure things happen. Maybe close for a few hours and deal with the problem
The server was pleasant and respectful, but got my order wrong. Stuff happens.
The ground meat (can't swear it was beef) patty was gross! Over cooked, tough and dry, even with the gravy poured on it that I didn't want, it was dry! At one time this was my favorite dish on the menu.
I won't return.
