The String Bean Restaurant

06-2025/ In town for a doctors appointment with my sister. Stopped in ordered our food. I had meatloaf, real homemade potatoes, black eyed peas “SO DELICIOUS!!! Wish they could come to my home town of Wichita Falls ,Texas they would be so rich. Please please consider making another location in Wichita Falls we need a good restaurant. :)

Monica Is the best waitress she is very attentive and make sure that all your needs are met. Awesome experience

It's not well seasoned Southern comfort foods. My friend had the turkey and dressing and it was stove top dressing and not sage, pepper or real flavor. I had the chicken fried chicken, it was good but the Mac and cheese is like the kraft box version with cheddar baked on top.
The waitress was great and gave great service. Friendly staff over all.
It is a staple in that area, I get it.

My wife and I went there for Thanksgiving. We were seated at 11:15 . Reserved at 11:30. Perfect. After going through the buffet line and had begun to eat, I asked the waiter that I'd like to get an order to go for my 77 year old blind veteran friend. He said " we"re not going to do that". I thought that was an odd temark but left it at that. I told my wife we could go to lubys . Did that, but the line was out in the parking lot. Ended up waiting 30 minutes at la Madeline. I do not understand why we couldn't purchase a to go dinner right there ! Not the end of the world and I do understand no take home of left overs but I couldn't even pay for a to go ?!!! Had to spend and hour and a half driving around . Cmon !!!!

Very disappointed as the green beans are supposed to be their specialty but they aren’t even fresh, they used canned green beans now. The fish was pretty good

The pot roast, mashed potatoes, corn, and cornbread were very
delicious!! They never disappoint with this dish!
The place started getting full by 6:30pm. I only saw 2 young men that were waiting tables. The service was a bit slow, but they were very friendly!

Delivery :
Meatloaf was literally 1/2" thin - was cold by the time it arrived.
No dipping sauce for fried string beans, veggie plate had no containers or lids so everything soggy.
No butter or honey for rolls. No silver or napkins.
I understand saving money but don't skimp- charge more and satisfy!

We ordered via door dash. Food was delicious! Still warm, well prepared. We had 2 veggie plates. Total of 8 diff vegetables: baked squash, red beans and rice, broccoli, carrots, fried okra, sweet potato casserole, cole slaw, mashed potatoes w white gravy. Every dish was perfect. Very healthy and delicious meal. Nothing was swimming in bacon and grease, thank goodness, so refreshing. Evidently,our door dasher failed to keep our food containers from tipping over so our food arrived alll mingled together. We will definitely order again but will request our food be placed in individual containers to prevent That happenng again.

Vegetarian options: We had an assortment of 8 vegetables and all except red beans and rice were vegetarian.

First time coming here I thought it was a waste of time until a came inside. Everyone is so nice including the workers. There hamburgers are delicious just like there icecream. I don't know how they made the ice cream so soft. This is by fair one of the best locations to eat
