I have tried Peruvian food in Texas, Chicago, and Lima,Peru! And this restaurant is my favorite! Wish we had an amazing Peruvian Restaurant like this one closer to my home in Oklahoma. But I will drive 2.5 hrs one way just to eat at Tineo!

Food is always good and flavorful.
You must try the Empanadas & desserts, they are so good.
Badly run business I have to say! They have awful time awareness!

Had a lomo, and the tallarines verdes pasta both items lacked a lot of essential flavor the lomo had no ahi Amarillo the steak was not marinated also it was a dry lomo the dish is meant to have juice pictures do not match what was received and flavor was really off expensive disappointment is all I can say

so me and my family came here on a sunday it was our first time being here we wanted to try something new we didn’t really know what to order so we ordered the stir fried rice. i am so sorry but it was the worst rice i’ve ever eaten, it was very salty and looked very pale. i had about 2-5 good bites until i couldn’t eat it anymore. i dont think the food is the issue i think its just were salvadorian and this is a peruvian restaurant so maybe the culture and stuff, but if your not peruvian then dont recommend for a first time eat.
overall the service was really good the lady was nice enough to let us taste test a drink we weren’t familiar with before we ordered so that’s a plus and the food came farley fast and was pretty hot.
later on it got very full though and when we asked to the check the lady never came because the place was very full.
overall 2/10

First time trying Peruvian food, and my boyfriend and I got the beef empanada and it was really good. The inside of the empanada was soft, but there was a nice crunch on the outside. Service was quick, we got our food maybe 5 mins after we ordered. The alfajor was tasty and not too sweet. The perfect end to our meal.

The service was terrible, my order was incorrect, and the waiter refused to take responsibility for the mistake, expecting me to pay for it, which I reluctantly did. Losing a customer over a few dollars is poor business

My wife is from Peru and we go to Tineo often – usually every week or two. The food and service are usually great, but I do have to complain about something that occurred today. My wife wanted to go for Mother’s Day so we did along with our 4 teenage kids.
In addition to our meals we ordered Inca Cola and asked for glasses of ice water too which is typically not a problem. However, we were told that they only had bottled water today. I think it’s very sad they exploited the holiday to try to charge extra.
The same thing happened to us at Lima Taverna a few years ago during a Peru soccer match when we asked for water and bread, and we decided to give Lima Taverna a lifetime ban because of their exploitation of their customers.
If this happens again at Tineo, we will stop going.

I come here almost every week, but the last two times it's been horrible, the service is terrible, we arrived and had to wait around 40 minutes for them to bring us the menu, we had to wait for some empanadas for more than 30 minutes, I don't think I'll ever come back.
