Average brisket sandwich.
If you're craving real Texas barbecue, 9ER’s BBQ in Richmond is a must-try! The brisket was tender and flavorful with a great smoky taste, and the ribs were juicy and perfectly seasoned. Portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. I also enjoyed the mac and cheese and baked beans—comfort food done right!
The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the whole place has a laid-back, local vibe. It’s the kind of spot that makes you feel right at home. Whether you're dining in or taking out, this is one of the best BBQ joints in the area. I’ll definitely be back!
Great food, and management. Can't wait to go back for more homemade deliciousness
Great food and great service. The manager works top to bottom and handles everything with a professional and friendly attitude. The employees were very kind. Would definitely come back!
Amazing friendly staff! Delicious bbq!!!
I stopped in after Christmas for a pound of brisket. With the exception of a few pieces having a little more fat than I prefer, the brisket was good. I’ve made note to ask for all lean in the future. The smoke flavor was light, not overpowering. Clean establishment.

The food is over priced for small portion size. I won't be returning.

Unsanitary experience. He scratched his butt and touched the plate bare handed.
No gloves worn by the staff. I asked if they can switch a side order for something else and the guy said sure. He scratched his butt and his face and touched the plate bare handed. Why are they serving people without gloves? There are cameras in the restaurant so hopefully the manager looks this up 11/17/2024 around 6:50 pm . We did not eat anything he touched. This is very disgusting and it was hard to eat the other food so we left. We did not approach the staff because we were did not want to get emotional. The cook had gloves on but the servers did not. I will never eat there again.
Dietary restrictions: Use gloves when serving people. We have too many viral infections going around. And scratching your face and butt are not recommended.

I can't believe this place has 4.3 stars..because the food is bland taste like it's a day old..I had a pork sausage bake potato. And the sausage was dry and tangy.. And if you go there do not get mac n cheese or brisket sandwich my son was not feeling those items and I tasted it and couldn't blame him and trashed it. Such a waste of money. Maybe they cook there food for the Sr. Citizens in this area. I should have known better. I always been told if you can't smell the bbq from up the street it's not good. Man I hate that Swingin' doors is gone!

Love their BBQ. REALLY love the brisket mac & cheese but it's only a weekday lunch special. Do recommend it though!

Food was good. Place is beautiful. Service was horrible. Especially for being first timers. FYI if you’ve never been here. You can get buffet or tacos.

We just stopped in 9er's bbq today for the 1st time. Beautiful restaurant and great bbq! We are bbq foodies and love going to Luling, Lockhart, as well as, several of the more well, known bbq pits in the Houston area. 9er's certainly competes! J. Riley is a FANTASTIC host! From the moment we walked in, he was welcoming and had time to show us all his made from scratch items! Not only is the bbq pit smoked, he and his staff make the potato salad, beans and corn bread straight from recipes and techniques he learned from his great grandmother's kitchen! Desserts are brought in fresh from House of Pies and the breakfast taquito menu looks delicious! All at reasonable prices and right here in our Pecan Grove, Richmond neighborhood. Great finish to our weekend. We will definitely be back! It was great to meet you today Riley! Thank you for the hospitality and great food! We look forward to eating at 9er's BBQ again!

My family and I were excited to go there. Walked in and were ignored. Finally got some help. Then they didn't know anything. So we just walked out.
