I love coming here I found it when my parents were working in the area. I genuinely drive from the medical center of Houston to this location just for the food. The staff are very friendly and it feels like a nice mom and pop

I sure hope Galvan's Bar-B-Q reopen soon. They sell excellent home made sausage with multiple selections to choose from and the brisket is tender and mouth watering delicious.

Must be going out of business. "Closed Today" sign on door every time I've tried. Not wasting time driving out there

A very casual BBQ House! It's as pleasant as the food! It's the bark & thr brisket ends for me...not omitting(the greens & "The infamous" Wrap-a-round! Great ribs ?. Don't sleep on Richmond! A little red "precious jewel" awaits you at the Pitts U-turn, sitting on the right coming from WEst I-90HWY.

Small bbq joint that could be easily passed when driving down 90... but once you step in, you'll Never want to pass is again without grabbing some food first. The sausage is everything! But the brisket, is great too... and grab some of the frozen boudin for dinner. I threw it in the air fryer and had a great dinner! So much flavor!! I have a tendency to only review the most memorable places I visit, so trust me when I say... this review is well deserved!

The default for smoking the beef brisket is pecan wood. You might custom order some mesquite-smoked brisket if you wish, if they have advance notice and they're not too busy. They have some small pits for individual orders out in the yard. The pork sausage and deer sausage (pork blend? not sure) are pecan-smoked, again they might smoke you some with either mesquite (South Texas style), or post oak (Central Texas style). They sell pecan, oak, and mesquite wood out in the yard, where they also sell small barbeque smoker-type grills.Kid-friendliness: Family style...

Passed by Galvan's several times before even noticing it. Stopped by today to give it a try, and it was great. This is a no-frills place, the kind that I like..Step to the far right to order and be served. Shuffle left to get your order and pay. It is about a 10 foot counter, so the only tricky thing is that the chips are behind you..My wife ordered a sliced brisket sandwich, lean. They happily sliced off the delicious fat cap like she wanted, then stacked it proudly with the beef. I ordered the 2 meat plate, adding her fat to my plate. Yes, that's awful. Yes, it was delicious..The food was fork tender, invited with smoky goodness. The two meat plate was ample, easily making me unable to finish it. The brisket was excellent, as was the sausage. I also got the fresh sweet corn on the cob, and it was fantastic. The whole meal was very good..The ambiance was country BBQ, very workaday. The place had constant business, which I was glad to see. I'd like them to stay in business so I can come back. After lunch we stopped next door to the wood seller, stocking up for a fire pit evening..Excellent experience. We'll be back.
