I was on my way to a job and stopped by a gas station to grab a snack... saw they had fried chicken and I was iffy but I got some anyway... best fried chicken Ive had down here hands down. Super crispy outside and juicy inside... This chicken had me in my car like flipping out like "Yo how is this chicken this good?" Lucys/tumble/Gus never had me feeling like this chicken does... if you see a sign for Krispy Krunchy at a gas station pull over and get some... I promise you will not be disappointed.

Y'all. This is the magical chicken you never know you needed and wanted. But you do. Yes, it's inside the Shell gas station. Don't let that stop you. Wrap your mind around it and strut proudly into that gas station. Get the chicken. Get the okra. Get the mashed potatoes and gravy. And whatever else you do, DO NOT FORGET THE BISCUITS! Everything is cooked to order so be patient. And be kind. You won't regret it. No greasy belly aches. No sluggishness afterwards. Just delicious memories. Get some.

One day I had to pull over to look up something on my phone and I was like what, chicken at a shell station?! I laughed and didn't think about it again until today! I was starving and didn't feel like having a sit down lunch somewhere. I ordered the chicken tenders and a honey butter biscuit, my hubs was even wanting a snack so he got these ball things that had sausage in them. I can't remember what he had because I was so focused in on my chicken but he said they were good. Now for my chicken it was so good! Crunchy and flavorful!! It was also real chicken meat and not that questionable processed meat. Now for the biscuit!! Ohhhhhh that biscuit was the best biscuit I've had all through Texas!! I actually went back inside and got four more! They are lightly sweet perfectly buttered and the flavors are addicting! It also has a slight crunch on the out side but soft and not to doughy on the inside. I swear I'm glad I live close! I look forward to trying everything they have on the menu for sure!

Talk about a diamond in the rough!!! First of all, I never ever order fried chicken at a restaurant let alone a fast food joint. Why? Because my husband makes the best darned fried chicken and every time I taste it elsewhere, it will never measure up and I'm totally disappointed. But this time, I was with extended family and majority vote picked this place so I was outnumbered. Lucky me! This place is AWESOME. It was certainly krispy, crunchy a little spicy but not too spicy kids couldn't eat it. The sides were delicious and the biscuits...sweet and salty and so so good. You can't go wrong here. It may not be as good as my hubby's famous fried chicken but for the first time in over a decade...I found a close second to his. Super good!!!! And great service too!

The fried okra was fantastic. We came in because we wanted to find a spot to get a soda. I decided to get the fried okra because I know my husband would share it with me. The biscuits and the honey looked good. I was going to try a Mac and cheese but was not sure. Mashed potatoes sounded good as well. It took three minutes for them to make and then the cook Rosa gave me my order and two forks. She gave it to me and I told her right away how delicious it was. I might come back next time I am in dripping springs. Not a Cajun chicken fan though.

Chicken was very good, just the right amount of Cajun spices.. Phoned my order in and it was ready when I got there :)

It’s probably great chicken, but it is no longer here. Phone number is a furniture store.

The chicken is sold inside the gas station at their chicken deli stand. It is takeout & they have a drive-thru. It is some of the very best chicken I've ever eaten. It is the best chicken in the greater Austin area. Yes all of Austin & Dripping. The biscuits are a big treat too. They are buttery & taste of honey too. They look similar to a cinnamon roll and taste so good. Try it and you will love it! Perfect for a quick dinner, family gathering, church picnic.

I am a great guy. Being great, I appreciate fried chicken, but it too must be great. Since moving to Austin in 2009 I have searched and searched for great fried chicken. I have run through the recommended fried chicken places in Austin - Lucy's, Gus's, and many others in the region. In fact, if someone tells me to try the fried chicken at such and such place, I will try it. They will say, "Hey, you need to try the fried chicken over at [forgettable name]." And I say, "Sure, that sounds swell." And it is swell. Upon moving to the Dripping Springs area, I did some Yelping and Googling to find out what fried chicken could be found. Simply put, I found Crispy Crunchy and it is the best in the region. It is unusually juicy, even the breasts. It is perfectly crunchy, even at a couple days old sitting in my fridge. It does not leave a grease film in my mouth nor do I feel fat-sick two hours after eating it. In fact, aside from the very crunchy fried crust, the inside taste like it was attended to and kept juicy and savory by a French chef (they are better than us at all things food). If I could eat this chicken every day, for the rest of my life, without punishing my amazing health, I would. Lastly, if anyone tries the chicken and does not like it, just call me and i will refund you. (Not true at all). But, you will not need to. You will love it.

Chicken from a gas station? No problemo!!! My family and I were visiting the area from Wisconsin. We stopped here after dark and were advised by the guy at the drive through window that he ate the chicken "every day"!! How can you beat that for a recommendation? Ordered a 4-piece mixed white and dark meat. Super hot. Super fresh. Super Krispy and krunchy! Super juicy! Nice spice, too. If you like fried chicken, give it a try!

Best chicken strips ive ever had. Not sure what they are putting in the batter, but I could eat this chicken every day. Damn good chicken from a gas station.

Yeah. I was skeptical of getting fried chicken at a gas station. Had just spent an afternoon wine tasting with my girlfriends and stopped for gas. A little buzzed and hungry, we went inside the station for something to eat and decided to try the chicken. Brought it back to the house and devoured it. Nobody even bothered to sit down. We devoured 9 pieces standing in the kitchen. SO GOOD!!!!
