Today my wife and I had the pleasure of delighting ourselves with authentic Mexican food from Luna y Sol Mexican Eatery. There are many Tex-Mex Restaurants in the Greater Houston area, but the food served at this restaurant is real Mexican food. Furthermore, the prices are very reasonable, which makes it an ideal option for dining out. The restaurant is very spacious, and because of Covid-19, there were very few customers, allowing us to sit inside with ample social distance. But the best part is the food; I had the pork tacos, and my wife had the green enchiladas that were utterly delicious.

This restaurant is authentic and delicious! Seriously the best guacamole and chips I've ever had, and the pork on the al pastor tacos was fall-apart tender. My family and I will be the newest regulars here

Food was fantastic and everyone was extremely friendly. We tried the chicken Tinga tacos, guisada tacos and the street corn. Will definitely be back!

The atmosphere is very nice. Drinks are very good. The portion size were bit small for me especially for Texas. True and authentic food. Don't expect chips and salsa they charge for that. Would have liked larger portions for the price.

This place is great. It is not TexMex (cheesy and buttery), it is MexMex! Focus is on flavor and spice. The Pork al Pastor tacos were delicious. Also had the chicken fajitas. Amazing! The chips are thick and the red salsa is warm with just the right spices. The prices were a little bit higher than other restaurants of the same genre but the food is fresh and tasted well together. Beware of the green jalapeño salsa. It's gotta big kick!!! This is our need goto for Mexican food. Next time I'll go early and get breakfast!

WARNING - False Advertising!! After 6 times of picking up food at Luna Y Sol Eatery, they "magically" changed their menu without updating their website. I ordered taco plates to-go. The "Soft Opening" menu on their updated website states that the plates come with 3 tacos each. I ordered these plates two weeks ago and received 3 tacos per plate. Tonite, however, it's two tacos per plate for the same price. When I called and asked, they said that the menu changed but the website couldn't be updated. Nothing was suggested to make this up to me, the paying customer. Sorry, Luna Y Sol, but there are too many restaurants and we won't be back nor will we continue to promote your business now. Best of luck!

The size of the meals were EXTREMELY small. A burrito for $14 that was like 4 and half inches long !! And wasn't even that great. The churro waffles $13 super small as well. The migas were super small also $13 and hardly had anything on them. The whole meal was just sad and not worth the $80 we spent. I would of paid like 35-45 for something like that almost anywhere else . It's sad because this is new restaurant and in order to succeed they should keep people happy. I don't know if maybe it was different because it was to go and maybe when you actually eat there the meals are bigger. I don't know but for sure ordering to to go it's not worth it at all!! This was our first time eating there and it will also be our last! It all tastes good but the size of the meals were ridiculous!!! I literally feel robbed and it's sad because I really wanted to like this place since it's so close to home and I wanted to support them. If the owner of the restaurant sees this please consider making the size of the meals worth the Money or bring the prices down one of the two.

We stopped in this afternoon right as they were about shut down for the afternoon. They were nice enough to let us still come in and we enjoyed a delicious late lunch! We got the taco pack with chicken tinga and carne guisada and we couldn’t decide which was better. The chicken was super flavorful and the steak was so tender! Will definitely come back!

Wonderful breakfast tacos... Very friendly staff and owners. Just keep in mind it is Mex-Mex not Tex-Mex. Nice change from a Tex-Mex world. I would recommend it to anyone.

Amazing food! We had the enchilada family pack an order of nachos, and Pozole. Everything was really great! Tender chicken, flavorful slices, just knocked it our off the park. The nachos too!! Ext time we will request extra enchilada sauce but a solid 9/10 for us!!

I will start with I either give 1 star or 5 stars / this is a 4 for the following reason- price is high for what you get. Other than that the food was more Mexican that Tex mex - always welcomed! We split a few different things and everything was amazing! If you go in knowing you'll be dropping some cash then you'll be good to go - enjoy!

I've been wanting to try this place, but just hadn't had a chance. Sunday morning, we felt like a Mexican breakfast, sooo...we gave it a shot. First off, I have to say, the menudo and pozole were among the best I've had. Especially out here in the Katy, Richmond area. AMAZINGLY good. The huevos rancheros were also among the best. Keep in mind, this is NOT the typical Tex-Mex. This is MEXICAN. There are tons of Tex-Mex spots out here, but for MExican? This is the place. Now you're probably wondering why I didn't give 5 stars...well... I couldn't get through on the phone to make my pick up order. Website doesn't allow for to-go orders, just delivery (which I found strange). Then...once I got there, I must've waited at least 30 minutes for my food. However, I do understand that they were busy (which is a good thing), and in this coronavirus era, everything is upside down and crazy. The owner gave me some free desserts for my patience, and was really polite. Btw, the flan was INCREDIBLE. I guarantee that we will go back there because the food was SO good. Service wasn't great, but understandable. Soo...don't be surprised if my 4 stars changes to 5 stars in the future. I'm sure we'll try the dinner plates one day, but... GUARANTEE that the next time we're in the mood for a real Mexican breakfast, WE WILL GO BACK to Luna Y Sol!!
