I thought this place was a real Caribbean restaurant. I ordered the oxtails & they were so bland no flavor and definitely not the Caribbean flavor. I don't even think it's owned by Caribbeans honestly. Only thing was decent was the cabbage & that's a barely. Won't be back.

Ordered the ox tails yesterday, gave me food poisoning, was throwing up the entire night, looks like this establishment is selling old rotten food, ox tail tasted weird, the worse Iv ever had, would not be coming back here anymore,

Whole Red Snapper in Red Stew - sooooo delicious! I had it once and then had to go back within a few days to fulfill the new born craving. The second I got dinner for my whole family. My brother had the grilled red snapper, this version has no bones and we asked for red stew on the side. Mom had the Diablo Shrimp, it was too spicy for her (this dish was exceptionally spicy so be warned) but sooo delicious! We had it the next day. Dad had the coconut curry shrimp, the turmeric was a pleasant surprise. This was creamy and spicy, and we loved the veggies mixed in. Upon picking up the order the chef also gave us complimentary soup and that was just perfect for this weather.

Wow what a delicious Caribbean spot with the nicest service ever. Hopped in to pick up dinner since I was in the area and it was highly recommended by a friend. I see why. They have dishes inspired from a variety of Caribbean places it seems, so I will definitely be back to try more of their dishes! I'm a s***** for roasted pork so I got the Combiana. The beef steak and roasted pork both reminded me of something my mom used to make when I was a child. I loved it sooooo much. On top of their delicious food was their super nice service. The lady there offered me a couple of free drinks for it being our first time there! Since I was taking the food home to my husband she made sure to give me a drink for him too. Will absolutely come back here again!

Good home meal feel like meals. I had the chicken curry and the j*** chicken, the curry is definitely a winner. Plates are large!

Ever since I went to Jamaica last year, I have been craving for real Jamaican food. One love hits the mark! It is literally Jamaica in Houston. Honest prices with large portions. Homemade beef patties is beyond any franchise boxed frozen food. Highly recommended.

Our first time trying this place. We ordered curry chicken, brown stewed chicken, j*** wings, the colombiana plate, beef and chicken Pattie's. Everything was horrible. No flavor and more than likely the food was all old and warmed up in a microwave. We tasted a little bit of each thing and nothing was good enough to keep. We threw out 90 percent of the food and we still ended up getting sick! We called today to speak with management but we were told there is no manager today. We really had high hopes to find some food here since it is so close to our home but we were extremely disappointed! Never again.

Wow, my family and I were floored by the flavor!! Everything was delicious, One Love Tropical Cafe did not disappoint! It's authentic, comfort food from the Diaspora. We ordered Oxtails, Coconut Curry Shrimp, Brown Stewed Chicken, homemade Beef Patties, yams, Jollof Rice, etc... and it all tasted like it came from my Nana's kitchen! We look forward to tasting everything on the menu. One Love indeed ?

Such wonderful and kind customer service! I just tried the chicken and beef patties and they were delicious! Can’t wait to come back to try the fufu and egusi.

Food is always good, authentic Jamaican cuisine and servings are generous. The variety is good as well. Have yet to catch the Saltfish fritters being available when I order, but I can only imagine how good they will be when I do!

I had Oxtails, cabbage, rice & beans and plantain. The food was pretty good!! The service was great! The food was served to use quickly. I enjoyed my entree. I also had a delicious chicken patty too.

I was able to try this place today. I will never be back. The j*** chicken is not jerked. It is simply brown stew. The candied yams aren't good either, I have had authentic Jamaican food before, and this place was just American food.

This place should get an award for service. wow. I was amazed. I honestly did not expect such great service. Now the food was just avg. My concern is that the whole Afro-latino-carribean fusion might be a bit overkill. So basically Jack of all trades, expert at none. Anyways, I didn't try anything else except the tres leches (not pictured). But I would return to try the more African dishes. Final grade: B+

Food was just okay. Ordered the oxtails for $26. To only get 4 oxtails that were dry. The chicken curry meat patties were good. So overall I think they were overpriced and not good.
