Happy Hour = Happy Me at Top Sushi Richmond!
Visited Top Sushi in Richmond, TX today, and the Happy Hour truly lived up to its name!
I started with the Miso Soup, a warm and savory soy paste broth filled with tofu, seaweed, mushrooms, and scallions—comforting and flavorful. Next, I had the Egg Rolls, with chicken and veggies, served crispy hot with a sweet & sour sauce.
For my main dish, I tried the Big Boy Roll (cooked)—fried chicken with cream cheese and avocado, topped with crunch and drizzled with sauces. OMG! Fresh, hot, and loaded with flavor, this roll absolutely hit the spot.
While I had the dining room to myself, I noticed a steady stream of meal delivery drivers picking up orders—clearly, the secret’s out about how good this place is!
Top Sushi nails it on freshness, flavor, and happy hour value. Richmond is lucky to have this gem, and I’ll definitely be back for more Happy Hour happiness.

I can’t believe I got sat and for 20 minutes didn’t receive any service. I was really excited to try the happy hour because I’ve always ordered take out from top sushi. There was 2 tables that got sat after us and received their drinks and got waited on. I was trying to be patient because I’m in the restaurant industry myself.

The food was good, but I have to comment on the service. Charging $2 for a small side of Sriracha feels excessive. When I asked about it, our server explained that it was because of the cost to the restaurant, but the way it was delivered came off as defensive. A better approach would be to simply state the price upfront on the menu or explain it politely, rather than making the guest feel uncomfortable. My advice: the food is solid, but please work on the attitude and communication.

Food was adequate. Went there to celebrate my adult daughter's birthday. My food came out after my wife and daughter were done with theirs. Options on vegtables would have been an improvement.

A LOT of rice. The quality of the fish is good but sliced thin. The nigiri and the rolls are loaded with more rice than most AYCE i've been to. The orders are also limited per order. So as soon as they come back with your order, be prepared to order more. Its annoying, so get your next order ready when they deliver the food to order more.

Came for AYCE dinner. Keep in mind the contents of your roll. I focused on the salmon/tuna/yellowtail rolls and they were good. Golden Pig was unique but a bit too much for me. Nigiri/Sashimi orders are limited to 6 total pieces at a time. Not too bad a place for the Richmond area.

Went for the ayce, not even close to most ayce u go to. The menu is cut down way to much. Only tempura, and rolls. Wasn't a fan of it.
If I could leave zero stars, I would.
We came here to celebrate something special, but left completely disappointed. The food itself was mediocre and overpriced, but I could have lived with that if the service was at least halfway decent.
We were sat at the bar, which we didn’t mind—until we were greeted by the female bartender who looked annoyed that anyone had the nerve to sit at her empty bar. She came over with a sour expression, and we tried to lighten the mood by joking about the menu’s note that customers would be charged for “every rice not eaten.” We laughed about imagining them counting individual grains of rice, but she wasn’t amused.
I then asked what would happen if I didn’t like something, since I was considering the salmon skin salad (we chose the all-you-can-eat menu). Her response? A flat “I don’t know, nobody’s ever not liked anything.” Not helpful.
The menu states you can only order three orders of sashimi at a time. We placed our three orders, and she asked if we wanted ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce. Obviously, yes—those should automatically come with sushi in the first place. She brought ginger and wasabi but no soy sauce. Our food came, still no soy sauce. I had to ask again before it finally showed up.
By this point, her attitude had completely killed the experience. I asked to just pay for the six thin slices of fish we had and go to Ninja Sushi down the street. She charged us $16 for two slices of salmon and $17 for four slices of yellowtail—again, paper-thin cuts. She could have easily charged the happy hour price ($1.95 per piece) since it was, in fact, happy hour, but she didn’t.
The only bright spot? My husband is nicer than me and still left her a decent tip, though she’s lucky we left anything at all.

good if you live close, $36 for ayce dinner. the rolls are heavy with imitation crab and rice so i would get a lot of sashimi. drinks and desserts not included
A bit more dimly lit than I generally like, but Jasmine was our server and she did a wonderful job!! The sushi and appetizers were phenomenal. The happy hour menu is very good, I might suggest you try to do rotating special rolls each month so that people can get a taste of the diverse sushi menu you have. The manager was pleasant to chat with and very welcoming. You guys still have a some of the best apps I've had. Maybe one day you might have the ability to do spicy tuna with crispy rice. The food was great. I will be back!!!

My friends and family love this place. Have been here several times but today's service and experience wasn't so good. Our waitress didn't seem very interested in serving us, also dropped garvy on my phone and all over table. She softly said sorry and walked away without offering any extra napkins and help to clean the table. I did cleaning by myself and luckily it didn't fell on my dress. By reading reviews we learned that they have all you can eat now!! but our waitress didn't mention anything about it. We will definitely come again, we love their food

This is the top sushi with AYCE. The atmosphere makes people sleepy with dim lights. The food quality is very good. For dinner, the price is $35.99, which is an acceptable price for Japanese sushi AYCE in Houston. The sashimi cuts are small and only come with 2 pieces for each order, but it's reasonable since they'll charge you if you have leftovers. Highly recommend the Golden pig roll, Yuzu wasabi sake, and their salmon sama. The workers outnumber the customers at a Sunday dinner time. The waitress spends more time chatting with other workers at the other end of the restaurant. The waiting time after ordering is also a little longer than average for a low-customer store. Overall, the store is worth trying; the food is high quality, and their rolls are quite special.
