Decided to give this place a try due to the unique presentation “tulip” style cone. We were disappointed to find out that they were waiting on some shipment so all we could get was gelato the normal style in a cone. We got hazelnut and salter caramel. Both flavors were good; salted caramel was very sweet for our liking though. Also got mocha coffee which tasted decent. I would have preferred to get coffee in a proper coffee cup with some coffee art etc but it was handed in a to go coffee cup so kinda bummed about that. Our server Ariyana was beyond amazing and always had a smile on her face and provided excellent service. All in all the reason we visited this place wasnt accomplished so considering the amount of dessert places out there to try, not sure if we will be back. Seating area is nice with mostly high tables and all so wouldnt consider it a place for a long hangout.

Ice cream is very good here. Loved the Mint & Chocolate, is the best that I tried so far. Other sorbetti’s were great too: raspberry. This place is kind of hidden secret, definitely better than several other gelato places I’d been around here.

More importantly, the gelato was so bad I threw it out after 1 bite (at the store). It was extremely hard and frosty; the opposite of gelato. Now I’m not expecting Italy quality here, though I have tried some there, but Black Walnut Cafe has gelato 8x better than this place. Don’t spend $7+ for a strange-textured, artificially flavored, nasty gelato.
I really was SO excited to have a sweet shop that included gelato. However, Over the Top has smoother ice cream over this gelato :/

A fun place to get some yummy treats and to linger with friends while you enjoy them. A clean shop with a cozy and calm atmosphere. The gelato is delicious.
The coffee was pretty good. Butter croissants were huge, but were chewy, not flaky, and feels like they were not freshly baked, probably frozen and reheated. The gelato crepe was ok, tiramisu gelato was good, but crepe didn't taste like it was freshly made. Service was a little slow, the croissants took a while to come out, and crepe even took longer. There were not many customers there. Came here on a random Sunday morning, and there was a church group having service... Got to listen to some nice music.
I’m very late the game on visting this place. It is a little hidden gem that I didn’t know existed in Richmond. We came for the gelato and the flavors did not disappoint. They were unique and packed with flavor. Lemon, biscotti and pistachio were some of our favorites. Cookies and Cream and white chocolate raspberry were also favorites. The inside is clean and appealing. Please give this place a try. We will most certainly be back.
